having a high pvp rating means often only one thing: Being part of a ganksquad in a SP and increasing the jedihate
not true. i pvp solo about 80% of the time. most of my kills are 1v1 current rating 1717 been as high as 1801.
a high pvp rating usually means you know how to win fights and what to do in PVP. unfortunately most people think that cloning 3 times before you finally kill an opponent is a valid tactic and makes one somehting of a pvp god.
Rolf.
PvP rating is about as good a measure of the PvP'er as looking at the paint on a car and telling how fast it goes.
A high PvP rating means that someone has no real loyalty to anything but themselves. They do not defend a base when the odds are against them. They run when the numbers are against them. Etc Etc.
As for the topic at hand, there are more skills in Healer than just 4000. Sap, cure fire, cure poison, total heal, etc are all rather handy. There are also more skills in Enhancer than just 4004. Resists can be very helpful against a CM. Once creature and NPC specials are restored these skill will be useful in PvE as well.
- Ithorian Mist(drink)or Trimpian (food): Fire absorbtion and resist.
- Durindfire (drink)or Cho-Nor-Hoola (food): Poison absorbtion and resist.
- Veronian Berry Wine (drink)or Blood Chowder (food): Bleed absorbtion and resist.
- Havla (food): Disease absorbtion and resist.
- Parawan Nutricake (food): Burst run efficiency / cuts down timer on when you can use it again.
- Kenali Wafers (food): Health bonus and regeneration, low filling, very long duration.
- Blob Candy (food): Action regeneration, low filling, very long duration.
- Spiced Tea (drink): Mind regeneration, low filling, very long duration.
- Booster Blue (spice): +20% to health bar, action regeneration, mind regeneration, -20% to health regeneration.
The absorbtion portion of the food does work, and it works well. I can't say whether the resist is working or not for sure, but it doesn't appear so to me. You might ask, "why Parawan?" The reason is simple, you can almost continually pop Parawan to eliminate any snare effects and to also catch kiters. This helps eliminate quite a bit of a CM's arsenal, leaving you with only the root effect to deal with (to which I rarely have any issues with).

What happens if they 8200 Energy layered armor with 75% armor break sliced ? Stack that with 40% combat speed debuff and by time you get to the BH they have recovered from KD and fully healed
I can fight them quite well but usually run out of force before they run out of mind(Can't wair for the FRS and more force as you advanced :smileywink
That's where I love choke.Armor? Oh sorry I didn't notice.

Defender right? lol I admit defenders are the toughest to take down. I can breach an enhancer but a defender means I rely on my saber. Besides I was refering to non jedi in my post, specifically BH's.
DIng ding ding, tell him what he's won, folks! That is the purest most absolute truth there is today. I recently went from a low dmg saber(557mdmg) to spending a ton of credits on a few premium pearls(600+max now). The difference is remarkable. The magic number to beat most Bh'es is 600max dmg. To beat everything and anything is about 700. Do not let anyone lead you to believe differently, the only thing seperating any of us from victory and defeat is our saber dmg output. That's it, no more no less.

I'm not a Master Combat Medic, but couldn't they Paralyze you after they were rooted to wait for the root to wear off?
I have started playing my alt MCM/BH...very fun by the way!
Anywho... MCM's must choose between landing pesky fire/poison dots vs. using paralize repeatedly. I personally go for the dots, to keep the Jedi healing more (i.e. use up mind/force...which is mostly how we win...unless they are nooby or have post-cu/crap pearls)
My advice simple...go to your local 7-11 store and pick up a 700-750 max saber, that seems to be the key.
Don't buy the story from these pre-cu (ego-maniac) Jedi who tell you "learn your template", "you must be a noob", "you started 5 seconds ago" bla bla bla...give me a 800dps saber and I'll learn to play instantaneously...
My thoughts on this subject.....
best thing to do is to find a bh/cm that will duel you so you can learn tactics. maybe a friend that can help you or you pay someone or whatever. Best thing is to learn by trial and error, what works what doesn't. i learned how to fight bh/cm's cause we had one in our guild and i dueled him, but whenever i fight one i first root, amorbreak, powerattack, leghit, headhit, bodyhit,kd,headhit leghit body hit till he gets up...then snare him../follow keep doing headhit/leghit/body hit till you can stick another root or kd always try to keep a snare on him cause more than likely he'll have electrolyte drain on you so it will even out..but if you dont' have force run then keep burstrun on and take burstrun food...the /follow command is very crucial it keeps you in range at all times..don'thave to fool around with the mouse as much...if he has a droid you need to take that out asap..don't fool around with those..they might not do much dmg but these tend to be long fights and over time it adds up..be sure your on proper foods thundercloud/crispic are a must...with thyroid rupture you need to make sure every swingcounts...if youcan't win, root and run...if for some reason you can't getaway from him..root or kd or snare and try to get behind any static object you can to get outta range....drag it out as long as you can till he gives up or you canpay him off or just die either way...sometimes its more honorable just to die....but if yourin a pinch for xp and can't afford to lose any i say do whatever you need to do to stay alive..if the fight is really long try to use synth or protein wafers to save force on heals or use stims....on a good bh/cm force management iswhat will save you..cause usually its a battle who runs outta force or mind first who wins....

Good for you, too bad many people like me does not care my rating is 1532 right now and was as high as over 1700 in the FRS before the CURB, and it was at 1200 when I reactivated back in Janurary after a 6 month break and I PvP solo often. Go back to to where you came from and play with your ganksquad.
