crap we put on them? what about the crap they give us. I know they work hard but putting out stuff that isn't finished yet, then getting crap about it doesn't make me feel bad for them
I'll tell you what. Why don't you go to college some 8 years, find a corporation to program for, and come back and apologize for the statement you just made. You are clueless. I know what these guys go through. They have ideas, and ambitions that they cant do, because corporate bigwigs that have other ideas.
Then, on top of all that... they have to stop projects they are working on because the players complain about something miniscule. Shut the hell up already. God knows you will never be happy with anything in this game if you aren't the most uber (not pointed at YOU, by the way, just a general statement). If you get killed, someone must be nerfed because they killed you.
I say Devs, just close the door on the forums, and do what it is you do. Screw PVP, and get the PVE working. PVP will never be balanced, and people will never be happy unless they can always win. /bug it and move on, and if we let the devs alone so they can do their job, they come up with cool stuff, like the last patch notes I was reading, or the new CH revamp.
Devs, just /addignore the SWG forums and get the game fixed. These guys have no idea what they want, or what is good for the game.
Ultimately, the above states, "I got mine, screw everyone else".
I'm sure everyone here has a variety of opinions, but I look at the big picture. Pearls for instance. I literally have half my guild's jedi with 200 DPS sabres. We have MLS players with 490 DPS. This is completely imbalanced due to a broken loot distribution. A 20K elite carbine does more damage. There is no advancement, there is no cannon, there is no reasonable ability to 'overcome' this shortfall. There is only one thing/personage that can correct this situation. It sure isn't a player.

Go back and look at the forums. Nothing good comes from this forum. All you do is tear them down, criticize them, and demoralize them. I wouldnt listen to you. They shouldnt listen to you.
No more nerfs, no more comments, no more patch notes... just do what it is they want to do, and leave you the hell alone to babble and gripe, and moan and complain. Poor guys busting their asses 80 + hours a week to listen to your crap.
I'll tell you what, why dont one or more of you fix the bugs, and maybe they will hire you. Then you can see the kinda crap you guys put on them.
I agree in part to what you are saying. I don't want half my ideas to be implimented let alone those of some I see here.
Still, SOE is their own worse enemy, 250K subscriptions, many of which are people with multiple accounts out of billions of Starwars fans speaks for itself. Even when the community wasn't bond together at the beginning and SOE pretty much had the freedom to change this game without much influence, the subscriptions leveled off. It has pretty much stayed at 250K since about the 4th month of the game and this has more to do with the orginal implementation of the game than it does the community.
"SWG is a hundred miles wide but an inch deep". This was one review made at the beginning of the game and still after 2 years, this statment is as true today as it was back than.

You know HOW EASY it is to script?
a 5 year old could learn it.
The bugs they make are not acceptable, to a scripter they look like there planned.
Besies, its there JOB to listen tous. we pay for there dinners.
no, it's there job to code the game. it is not their job to listen to you rant. that is what the csr's do.

1) he didnt complain, he said give the devs a break.
2) even if the developers agreed with your notion of cloak, they can not change it without say so of management.
3) cap on hours? overtime? Obviously you have never held a salary job
4) the only hostile post here so far is yours.
1)no, he complained
2)regardless, wait and see ![]()
3)actually, every job since high school (with the exception of some part time bartending at the Redskins owners lounge, and comissioned sales positions) have been salaried....cap on hours? most companies don't want people working over 55-60 hrs a week to reduce employee burnout...which is far more costly then hiring an additional employee to take the extra hours. overtime? 2 factors go into this...anytime I have accepted a salaried position, it was only after knowing the expected hours worked, the compensation for those hours, bonuses etc. I would not work as a programmer for less than $27.63 an expected hour...its tough work...in the past I have left jobs where I was forced to work more hours than expected, as a purchasing agent, for example, I was on salary at 45k for 45 hours a week....the VP left, and I was left doing his job, working a total of 55-65 hours a week without his check or the additional compensation, I sat down with the owners and discussed the issues with them and they offered me an additional 10k a year...which to me was unreasonable, they offered profit sharing which normally is reserved for those who have been with the company for 3 years, even with that, I was still not being offered what was deserved, so I quit, now, in my on paper only job (well, I do have to make 2 or 3 phone calls a week) I make 40k and have alot of free time to explore other avenues...I work undertime. the other factor regarding overtime is that some people want to not be at home, for whatever reason, boredom, nagging family, etc. regardless of the federal exemption on overtime pay for computer professionals, overtime still exists, tends to result in increased compensation, and gets you out of the house.
4) reread again, the op was hostile.

The Devs do not read profession forums, only posts by correspondants.
If you want to know what they know about us, read Baciacca's sticky posts.
