Thread: The Devs are right to not listen.

Constructive, yes. Positive, well, no, only when there is something to be positive about.
Ranting, exaggerating, and screaming like a child is obviously not helping anything. But when I have a beef with something, I'll be darned if I'm going to be "positive" about it. I'm going to list out the problem, say I think it sucks, and explain in detail why it sucks and needs to be fixed.

crap we put on them? what about the crap they give us. I know they work hard but putting out stuff that isn't finished yet, then getting crap about it doesn't make me feel bad for them
I'll tell you what. Why don't you go to college some 8 years, find a corporation to program for, and come back and apologize for the statement you just made. You are clueless. I know what these guys go through. They have ideas, and ambitions that they cant do, because corporate bigwigs that have other ideas.
Then, on top of all that... they have to stop projects they are working on because the players complain about something miniscule. Shut the hell up already. God knows you will never be happy with anything in this game if you aren't the most uber (not pointed at YOU, by the way, just a general statement). If you get killed, someone must be nerfed because they killed you.
I say Devs, just close the door on the forums, and do what it is you do. Screw PVP, and get the PVE working. PVP will never be balanced, and people will never be happy unless they can always win. /bug it and move on, and if we let the devs alone so they can do their job, they come up with cool stuff, like the last patch notes I was reading, or the new CH revamp.
Devs, just /addignore the SWG forums and get the game fixed. These guys have no idea what they want, or what is good for the game.
8 years? Besides that I agree with you...

Go back and look at the forums. Nothing good comes from this forum. All you do is tear them down, criticize them, and demoralize them. I wouldnt listen to you. They shouldnt listen to you.
No more nerfs, no more comments, no more patch notes... just do what it is they want to do, and leave you the hell alone to babble and gripe, and moan and complain. Poor guys busting their asses 80 + hours a week to listen to your crap.
I'll tell you what, why dont one or more of you fix the bugs, and maybe they will hire you. Then you can see the kinda crap you guys put on them.
your whining, and off base...take a look at the smuggler forums if you want to see what you describe...you dont like this forum...instead of complaining....here's an idea: GET OUT!
some things do need to be fixed, like cloak...should be only offensive....1 minute cooldown from the time combat ends....patch notes ain't going away...and theyve always done what they want to do. I believe 60 hrs a week is their hardcap on their hours worked, and don't forget, some people like overtime.
Sign me up, I got a opo job right now and would like to supplement my income...and next time, before you make a post like this, think about it...its more hostile and whiney than any post I have seen in quite some time.
This community is strong and it's a good thing because swg community > their game.
I assume you think it's acceptable for a game breaking bug/exploit to stay around for over a month while they introuduce new publishes with more bugs. They claim they have a plan but yet we never get to hear about it.
Go play some of the other MMORGs and then come back and tell me there is nothing wrong with the swg team

This can be done in a non-inflamatory way that might have a chance at persuading a dev to look into it. This sux doesn't provide them any details. In fact, it usually gets the entire thread ignored.

which is, of course, NOT what I said to do.
Look, my point is this: I'll be constructive by listing out what the problems are, why they are problems, and potential ways to fix them. But I'm not sugar-coating how I feel about them, and how they affect my enjoyment of the game. All it does is skew the perspective for those reading, and potentially, those responsible for fixing, the issues. If a bug/issue is making us as a community very unhappy with the game, then its important for them to know they've got unhappy customers and that they need attention.
"I really like your game and I support you fully, Mr. Developer. Oh, by the way, if you could happen to get around to it, could you fix this one little bug that causes me to go prone and kill myself within 10 seconds of logging in?"

it's called a job that has customer service issues. If you every worked in a Job that deals with Customers, first thing you are told, you can't make everyone happy, thus you will always have that one (atleast) unhappy customer that will yell screaam and declare a crusade on you.

it would befoolish to think that people would stop whining on these forums lol
but i /agree ...if we can all magically turn perfect we WOULD see much better communication and interaction, not to mention less hate from other professions
