Jedi skillboxes have a higher cost pr box aswell, they could also make our boxes cost the same as non jedi skill boxes, 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 -2 instead of 8-8-6-4-2
If they cost the same as non-jedi box's you would have 24 points in FS and 250sp in jedi skills which means someone would fully be able to master 3 jedi professions further taking steps into an unbalanced land which leads to certain nerfage.

SL had far more bugs than smuggler. They also had far more useful specials. To say that SL didn't need help is short sighted. To further say that Ranger doesn't need anything is a complete joke.

enhancer... ooops i forgot, self rez lowering your regen, FR3 being countered by a skill gotten at novice rifleman, the entire resist tree borked, force speed being countered and having an addtional -20 to combat speed by 0-0-0-4 cm, 0-0-4-0 pikeman, or 0-0-2-0 smuggler, force armor being countered by 0-4-0-0 sabers, 0-0-3-0 swordsman, channel force 0-0-0-2 enhancer is better than meditate 0-0-0-4 enhancer
Powers ? ouch sorry forgot about lightning having a windup timer making it a self root and doing less damage than 4-0-0-0 carbineer using a 800ish max carbine, cloak about to get a snare, force throw being totally useless, mindblast doing next to 0 damage, and applying 2 hardly working states, weaken dropping health by 300 while my canape's alone give +377, force kd aggroing everything in the cone(and no we dont want it nerfed to a single target like saberthrow, we want to be able to chose which one to use, the person is a MASTER force wielder he would be able to KD a single target or multiple targets by choice), choke ticking for 80 damage on a master defender,
Healer? oh em gee, the entire restoration line is pretty much useless except the nifty ability to heal 250 - 500 wounds in 1 hit, but then you hardy get wounds now, extiquish which can be replaced by foods, the fact that a 3-0-0-0 doc can heal higher every 2 seconds than a 4-4-4-4 healer every can every 6 seconds, the fact that the CM hemorage and traumatize does -50% to regen vs a higher mindcost and force cost sap at 35%, the fact that every proffession gets state recovery's except jedi who have to spend 28 skillpoints to get them.
Lightsaber? oh i forgot, saber speed is still bugged 6 months after the CU went live, the primary components of our weapons are not dropping in a quality that lets them be on par with non jedi weapons, sabers cap out at 95 sac, where non jedi weapons cap at 65 - 100, 100 being the flamethrower that does an area DOT, and has 100 sac as cap, and can be used to do such things as area critical shot, saberblock went from 85% to 25% i cant even remember when i blocked last time. 0-4-0-4 is just as good as master,
Defender : ouch i forgot the master level skill cost 1000 force, and is a self snare, the armor bonus can be negated by 0-4-0-0 sabers or 0-0-3-0 swordsman,
As for the guy talking about TKM and pre reqs, deal as long as TKM is split into TK offence, tk defence, tk meditation, il take the FS sp and not complain about them again, as long as i at just m.ls get 6000 inate armor, 85 melee def, 65 ranged def, state recoverys, aura, the ability to buff myself with 500 extra health,

And yet, bizarrely, when you put all that broken stuff together you get Jedi dominating the game.... Funny how we aren't overrun with TKM, isn't it? Or Cm/BH... sure there are alot, but sitll not as many as there are Jedi.

cuz u could easily master 2 skills like LS and DEF and also have enough for heal 4000 and a good chunk of enhancer

And, I almost forgot...every other profession has costs because they arenot natural skills...no one is born a marksman.

Force sensitives can go their whole lives without knowing they are anything special. I don't know one Jedi that was't trained to hone his skills into something usefull. If that were the case, Luke would have lifted his X-Wing out of the water instead of playing with rocks. Sure you are born with it, but without the training (hence the skill points) you can't do much with it.
Well yeah Luke was trained, but he was not trained in Force sensitive skills...he was trained to use the Force. In other words he was made a Padawan because he had the born natural ability to become a Jedi.
I think there are two questions which should not be confused.
1. Why can't I drop FS skills? The logic behind why you can't drop FS boxes simply because on the path to becoming Jedi you have to first becomesensitive to the Forceand then acquire basic FS skills. It is like a Master Pistoleer saying "I am Master Pistoleer, not Marksman, so why can't I drop my Marksman skills?". The basic skills in both cases are the very foundation of your profession. Remove the building blocks, and the whole thing collapses.
2. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make FS skills cost zero SP? This is where the real debate lies !
