To become a rifle man you need marksman 4004 which cost 43 skill points this is their prerequist for being able to become a rifleman, our FS skills are like that and i think we should look at it this way they only cost us 24 sp's.

I think they should make it so you can alter your fs skills by giving a 1:1 conversion but still need to do the mission to unlock the branch but other than that they should stay or jedi would become VERY overpowered.

I disagree I don't think it would be overpowering at all. Yes a Rifleman needs 4004 marksman. BUT a rifleman could also dual master MRM/MCM and have a plethora of options available to him as well as supreme healing and still have 52 Skill points left over to do with as he/she pleases. Again in my humble opinion the 24 points wouldn't put a jedi over the top in any way just make him/her a bit more survivable in the current status of the game.

Jedi aren't Force Sensitive anymore? Jedi have 24 skill points of pre-requisites, something every profession has. Take Pikeman for example, if you just want to be Master Pikeman you have to take 14 points of unrelated 2-handed swords skills plus the 15 point novice brawler, 29 points total for just the one mastery. If you wanted to be MPike/MFencer you'd need to take all 4 lines of brawler skills, an extra 28 unrelated skills, plus the 15 for novice brawler. 24 points for the pre-requisites for all your Jedi skills is not that bad in comparison.

A jedi with no force sensitivity is not a jedi.

To be honest, i see no point in changing the skill system right now. Jedi is fine as it is imho, as is ranger and all the rest they're changing. Rather than changing prfoessions, I wish SOE would just focus on getting some decent content out that doesnt cost.

Umm... i TRUELY do DARE you to say that the Smuggler's are just fine as a Profession, and that they don't need changing... i DOUBLE DOG DARE you to say that in the Smuggler's Forums....

other then that, i think that some if not all Professions need some form of Changing.... and i Agree with the OP, however there is always that counter agruement of Jedi's not being Jedi's WITHOUT the F.S. Skills....

also, i know that this might be a pointless thing to say, but.. I have seen all 6 Movies, and i DO NOT remember EVER seeing Jedi's having to go to a Village to train F.S. Skills, PLUS do the Village actually have anything to do with becoming a Jedi... what i mean, is that i know that you have to go there to learn F.S. Skills, but REALLY does it really have anything to do with becoming a Jedi (If So, tell me... When did the Jedi's have to go to a Village to become a Jedi (whether it is in the Movies, or in the EU (ie. Episode 7-9)))

Jedi skillboxes have a higher cost pr box aswell, they could also make our boxes cost the same as non jedi skill boxes, 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 -2 instead of 8-8-6-4-2

Ok, so fix issues rather than completely revamping systems like Ranger and SL. Smuggler has tonnes of bugs, that arent even skill related. Stacking for example.

Fix bugs and get content. Stop nerfing damnit!

A jedi is a trained fs.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.
