its very nice, especially with master sabers. frs will include more saber block it appears. so if it comes back, then itll b even better.

Valor is perfect! I was involved in a group PvP action and had valor on (I'm a MDef) and was blocking shots from about 5 ranged guys and handling myself very effectively with very little healing needed.

be very careful. Devs might one day "fix" the fact there is no damage reduction with Valor up.

from what I have read so far in this post alone, is that the ranged defense you get from Def 0400 is not worth much, as well the innate armor accounts from some - but also not a whole lot. People are saying that Improved Valor actually offers a noticeably substantial amount of protection from ranged attacks. From what I have read so far it is like the Force Aura of ranged attacks.

Either way - based on what everyone has said so far, I have decided to simply go Mdef and try it out. I already have Def 4443 now.

Because people have pointed out that the ranged defense tree is not working except for the innate armor. The block in valor works quite well.

About the think "Valor worth it?"

It absolutly is - im MDef and only can say Valor is useful in mass-PvP as it is in BH Fights (as long as they root/snare you and you are ranged)
With Valor, Aura, Infusion and some Pikatta Pie you are almost untouched by a ranged PC/NPC. If you are getting hit infusion takes care of. And about the forcecost - since i dont have channel in my temp i used to just popp a Holo after about 10-15minutes just standing there watching them trying to hit me. Last BH that tried to kill me ranged gave up on this since i just /laughed at him. If the roumors are right and you can even increase your MLS/valor block by vayerbock for +25 you will be untouched like a virgin if they try to kill you ranged.
Thats exactly why Def 4044 is way bedder then 4440 - my opinion

Absolutly worth a /laugh - but beware - if too many will do this to the poor BH-Community they will start whining again to the devs to nerf valor.
Maybe they add Snare and damage reduction to it
