Thread: Jedi Respec

your right they didnt say token was the last. the one BEFORE it they did though. A message like "WARNING THIS IS YOUR LAST AND FINAL RESPEC" came up. In the paragraph it said something like After this respec your characters template will be permanent and cannot be altered by csr, respec, etc; only by natural game play.

Not everyone got that message, some logged in to find out their time was up without ever getting a notice. I didn't need a last respec then, but I never got that message, I logged in and got my profession badges. The token respec was put in because of this bug, some people got stuck with a template they didn't want.
They keep changing so many things about so many professions, that the least they can do is give a respec (2-3 days of them) for us to test it out once professions get nerfed or upgraded with a publish.
What about those that got sick and tired of waiting for a smuggler fix and respec out of it. Now they come along and fix it. shouldn't they get a chance to go back.
And say you were smart and didn't use your token respec. Now with pub 19 you use it to change your Jedi template, so it's gone. Next publish they fix some other Jedi skills and nerf others, now you're stuck with what you got. (well not stuck, but now you have to re-grind what you want out, and depending on what that is, could take a long ass time).
In the end, this is just a game, one that we pay to play. So whenever they make drastic changes to the way it is played, they should at least allow us to respec into something we will have fun in playing. Just MO, but oh well.

I strongly agree with this btw...

You want a jedi respec and feel Defender is not worth mastering because AI can't be used to it original potential. Yet you say you should be able to respec when something is changed simply to continue playing a template that suits your playstyle.
I see what your saying but soon every update, stealth nerf, fix, and or patch people will want a respec. I understood having it at the beginning of cu and how they kept increasing it due to bugs/fixes. And maby a respec every 3 publishes would be suitable but you want a respec when its a jedi publish and smugglers will want one next publish and then commandos and then terskasi and then doctors and cm. They cant give a specific profession a respec because people will just read the pub notes a few days before then pick up novice and respec it all to something else. Ex. A terskasi/doc gets on here and reads that artisan is getting a respec next week. SO he picks up novice artisan and then respecs to bh/commando. Thats not fair. And giving oneout every publishwil ruin the game. Basically its to exploitable to have respecs this often.

No that was the end of the 3 week respecing period. Im talking about the one that everyone got(even noobs) about 2 weeks later after much arguing. I agree there should be sometype of respec for drastic changes, but whose to declare it drastic or not. Doctors are getting a HUGE increase in healing ability. My alt is mrifles/md so I feel like this is a big change, while a bh/rifleman could give a d*mn as he would hardly notice it. I am happy smugglers finally got some love but i dont need a respec because of that. And like I said in my other post you cant give out respecs on what professions get the "major" fixes in a publish because that is exploitable also. A tier=tier respec system would suit me well though. I dont believe that we should have no respecs but i also dont belive we should get one every publish/hotfix.
