OK, maybe some of those Jedi are on the terms and want protection. But most of them are not, from what I've seen (walking around and checking the terms.)

A Jedi's grind is supposed to be hard. It's supposed to be long. It's supposed to be the hardest grind possible in the game. It's a tradeoff -- take longer and do it solo and don't worry about bounty hunters, or have it go quicker but get on the terms. Some do athird option and stand around healing people at random in the middle of crowded cities.

It's really absurd. Being a Jedi should be secretive. You are a criminal, you know...

Only those that oppose the Empire are criminals. Those that work for the Empire are allowed to enforce its will, and some even receive traninig from the Emperor himself.

lol No ALL Jedi dark and light are ENEMIES of the Empire. The only one that was allowed to live was Luke and only cause the Emperor believed he would turn.

Drevin you maybe knowledgeable about Dungeons and Dragons (Who ever heard of dark elves in SW?) But your ideas do NOT fit in this story at all. You state things like this as fact and you are COMPLETELY wrong.

Actually, KJFett3, if the Emperor knew about you he would squash you. Maybe you should try learning more about the story before flaunting your ignorance.

Daadian, Please note: Jedi are defensive in nature, Dark Jedi are not. Dark jedi of this era had it bad. Everyone hunted them. The Empire, Bounty Hunters, Jedi, The rebellion...etc

We dark Jedi may align (As I do) with the empire in secret but if the Empire ever knew we were Dark Jedi we would be crushed.

I understand that m8, its just that I want nothing more than Jedi vs Jedi fights to be these planet shattering explosive awesome fights. I want jedi to be able to make krayt dragons crawl back into their shell at the mere sight of a jedi. In short I want to see Jedi get some power, and if we have to sacrifice GCW I think the trade off would be worth it. As far as another poster talking about hiding, well hey if you dont want to hide you have that choice, all I am advocating is giving people the chance to grind in peace if they want to. Under this new system solo grinding just isnt feasible.

SOE's philosophy in a nutshell is this. If someone or a group of people are special, and different from others, then by all means strip the special people of the things that made them special in the first place. Do this so that the not- so- special people dont feel bad about themselves. By all means DO NOT encourage the not- so -special people to strive to themselves become special. Its not like we all didnt start with 250 credits a cdef and a melon.

Wrong again. For someone talking about reading before flaunting their ignorance, you've just shown you've no knowledge of the EU, which this game is a part of. Mara Jade was trained in the use of the Force by the Emperor himself, he didn't try to squash her. You can find her at the Imperial themepark. Lord Hethrir at the Imperial themepark is the Emperor's Procurator of Justice, "personally trained as a Dark Jedi by Darth Vader." High Inquisitor Tremayne was a former Jedi Knight that followed a path similar to Vader's, being seduced by the Emperor and helping hunt down the Jedi. His apprentice, Jarec, was a Jedi tracked down and turned to the Dark Side by Tremayne. Executor Sedriss was a warrior who displayed great aptitude for the Force, and was trained in it's use by the Emperor. The red robed Royal Guard were also tested for FOrce apttitude, those who displayed it were singled out for special training on the isolated world of Yinchorr. They were trained if Force techniques that could sustain the Emperor until help arrived, should they fail to protect him.

So you see, any "Jedi" in game that is Imperial could easily be seen as 'working for the Emperor' and would not be hunted by the Empire. In fact, I'd say that the Emperor might be displeased with anyone killing one of his minions (unless they then chose to take that minion's place).

So you don't see anything wrong with everyone perticipating in a War of this era, yet those who chose to go Jedi are left out with nothing to do? What a wonderful idea...

I guess that goes along with the idea that we chose to play a profession that don't exist in this era...none of it will make sense.

What profession did you pick? With over 10,000 jedi in EP2, I don't recall seeing more than a few hundred killed between Ep2 and 3. Then Ben reset the coder to warn the rest to stay away....nothing said they all died...and it would be easy to see how they would continue training etc.

Read harder next time. P.S. Go find the posts from the devs about how time lines in the game take into account EU. If you don't know what that is, it is all the books written and authorized by Lucas that carry on the hunting of Jedi by Vader and the bounty hunters. I know the term can be used loosly but it was stated that, "Jedi were all but completely destroyed." I would say that any way you want to look at it, prior to luke there is Vader, Palpatine, Obi Wan and Yoda. I would say that is pretty much all but destroyed. EU also states that Luke was unable to locate but a few force wielders when beginning the new jedi order...but then again that is what jedi seems like in SWG...just glorified force wileders without the Saber blocking, speed slashing, combat and mental elite that they are supposed to be.

Neither here nor there Just allowing a different perspective.

I definately went overborad with my "vision of Jedi" but I would be willing to trade GCW for more power. I never went into Jedi to be this awesome pvp'er for me it was a matter of 2 things

A. As a life long Star Wars fan the idea of being a Jedi was just too good to pass up, and

B. my running out of things to do in game

I know some people really love pvp, and thats cool but if Jedi vs Jedi vs Bh was the only Jedi pvp thats still alot of content for us.

Actually, Maxanto, the Emperor does know about them. They are called his Hands and he has many. Only 2 may rise to the rank of Sith Lord, but many may train the path of the Sith in order to find the most powerful. The Emperor had many Hands who were Dark Jedi and Force Sensitives that he did not reveal as later books told us.

Enjoy

The notion that Jedi can be made more powerful if they are pulled out of the GCW is increadibly short sighted. If you honestly think that taking Jedi out of the GCW would stop the hate and waves of non stop whines then you are wrong. Here are a few examples of stuff that would pop up after that:

"Only Jedi can loot the good stuff!"

"Only a player that has a Jedi alt can get the gear to pvp!"

"Why is pve geared towards Jedi now!"

"Jedi are dueling in Coronet and I can't stop them!"

"Jedi are breaking the economy!"

Etc, etc, etc. Believe me taking Jedi out of the GCW will not stop the above, all it will do is take away a good deal of content from a section of the player base.

Since this is the jedi forum, i figure it is a good place to ask this question. Rumors always fly about jedi beingremoved from the gcw and made their own faction, etc.

What is the latest news on this wonderful idea?

Please take your jedi whining to another thread, its just a question.

Whats great is the word is out that they will remove BH as well due to the Missions... Wow No Jedi No BH's But then I also heard they will be removing CM's too due to all the cries from these people over on the GCW forums. No joke these guys will cry if they stubbed a toe.. (Although they dont want to fix things like turetts or bases, but its all about the PvP for them, not really the GCW) Can you believe it? Man what are we going to do.. all 273 people that post there are really gonna be mad when there is two Entertainers figthing each other with freaking flutes.
