Nothing stops you from picking up Channel and Meditate with this change though... Which may offer a non-enhancer template even more.

I really like the idea except for getting rid of the master boxes. I like getting the +500 force pool for mastering. It helps create diverse templates because you have to choose to master to get more force and regen or you can dabble to get more skills but less force and regen.

bah your making it sound like someone is stupid enough to use them on their fs boxes anyhow. Your permanently stuck with the 6 lines....thats it....after you hit jedi of course the 24 sp is given back to you....you waste more on fs thats your choice...

The idea is a good one. your reply gave me a good laugh on top of the nice idea. I think a little laugh is needed on these forums right now.

No what I am saying is....
If you give people the skill points back as soon as they get a Jedi, Then there is no reason for people to NOT get six FS lines to enhance their charecter.
For example Joe BH wants ranged accuracy, ranged speed, ranged defense, Melee Defense, Vehicle control and survival. This would cost him 24 points right now.
Under your Idea he gets Jedi initiate and he gets the 24 skill points refunded to him. He stays a BH get's another toon to use and all the bonuses from the FS lines.
Under my Idea Joe BH wants ranged accuracy, ranged speed, ranged defense, Melee Defense, Vehicle control and survival. This would continue to cost him 24 points because he is not fully invested in Jedi. Should Joe BH decide to stay a normal toon and not use Jedi skills he would pay a price for those extra skill mods. If Joe BH becomes Joe-Jedi and starts to become trained in more advanced force knowledge the skill points are returned to him.
The skill points would then be returned to the indended individual, The Jedi

Fantastic idea. I don't think it would raise our power much if at all, but I guarrantee people would find there templates more enjoyable. I'm MLS/MEnhancer and hate that I waste so many skill points that could be better used in Defender or Healer.

the whole reason that jedi have more skillpoints for initial costs is to discourage jedi/non dabbling. since they put in the fs system, now it makes it much harder to do a change like this. You can be a MUCH stronger hybrid if you dont have to spend those 8 novice points per profession. If they went back to pre9 system, I'd be much happier (it was fun!). But oh well. You have to address this concern if you want to have a viable proposal. This is the main reason that your proposal will not be considered.

sounds good but master blocks also grant 500 more force

good idea, but the extra force is needed bad because of force cost way to high in the game already...lower the force cost or get rid of the bar all together then its a great idea.

There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think if I had just 2 more skillpoints to use all of my problems would be solved.
