Thread: Tiggs, are you serious ?
Was not going to post here as I have become a little sick of the Jedi/Server forums. Let me first start off by saying that Oropher, that was great. Too many things in there I read made me say 'Yes, exactly' in my head over and over. You hit the nail right on the head for most of this stuff.
Let me next expand on a few comments others made. People are giving the 'oh, she's just a CSR rep and can't do anything' excuse. That's a pile of garbage and you all now it. I am sure this post will now get deleted because of what I say next, but I'm saving it so I can re-post again if need be. Tiggs is not doing her job adequately. Go TRY to examine the Dev Tracker. It is a joke. There is more non-sense, just utter NON-SENSE from her than anything else. I don't appreciate the fact that she spent hours posting in the Shadowfire threads that were spamming these boards...hours folks, yet, how much time is being spent addressing concerns such as Orophers to the Developers. She is supposed to relay information back and forth, and right now it honestly feels like only half of that communication is working. She's giving us the thoughts of the Devs, but is what we say ever getting noticed? Absolutely not. Who wanted a lava saber? Who wanted RIDICULOUS SL abilities that were not properly tuned AFTER players told the Devs what was wrong? Who wanted a cloak which looks exactly like an old one, with mods that are barely better than things we've had before? Who wanted entertainers to become useless to CL80 players (for the most part) because they have no buffs which will help their gameplay? Answer: No one. Tiggs, do your job. Listen to what we say and intelligently relay these ideas and concerns to your co-workers. Nothing upsets us more than when we test things or suggest things and they are overlooked or ignored. I would rather not see you randomly trolling forums because the servers are down or you have free time. I would rather hear more detailed reasons for things and responses from developers. This is what you get paid for, but it is not what you are doing.
The CU was a mistake in totality.Did we need changes? Absolutely. Did we need a new game? No...we needed minor adjustments. It is frustrating watching this game change just about every week, and in major ways. For once, I would like to log in and actually enjoy the game for what we already have...not worry about how uber the SL changes are, what can I do in the new expansion, what new weapons do I need, etc. Wasn't the newest word from the Devs that they would be FIXING things and not pushing so many new things at us? Yes, Smugglers need help. SLs needed help. Entertainers still need help. But let's get the game working first, then we can talk about that. People don't like having to worry about whether their template is going to be okay next week and if they will have to buy new gear. They really don't...as much as you want to think that's content, it's not. Let people enjoy the game and then let's introduce new content steadily. But the rapid stream of broken changes is disgusting.
It really isn't that hard. Listen to what people tell you. Your customers want simple things fixed. They want pearls. They want a FRS. They want a reason to do the GCW. They want to have fun. It is clear that the developers aren't understanding that bolded word.

Dunno what to say. Cept The server populations have thinned horribly. Forced to group, but difficult as hell to find one.
Happens every year when kids go back to school. Summertime always has a huge pickup in the playerbase. In the fall it drops off again. It's not hard to find a group on weekends, but it's hard to find one during the week. Same thing. The nerf/bug issues have an affect also, but that's not all it is.
well on your server perhaps, on ouur server there is bearly ppl other places then tatooine and dant for grinding... we have always been a small server. But it has really been dying since 1 month after CU launch, i login now and i got 2-3 ppl on my friendslist online out of 350-400....and most of them were active players preCU.

Amen to that bro.
Devs should really reconsider what they are doing, when an account like mine ( with 150 mill. credits, in the council of one of the top guilds in Ahazi, everything capped on my Lightsaber suit, with a 626-724 damage, 1.15 speed, 776 DPSLightsaber, and most of all, a fan of Star Wars since the age of 9 when I first saw the movie )is quitting the game for good.
I hope SOE changes their policy and hires 20 very intelligent and capable of problem solving / guessingpeople to play the game ( Yes, their job will be only playing the game, create feedback, and interact with the communityin forum. ) I bet my everything it will skyrocket SWG subscriptions.
i said it over on the bloodfin forums and ill just say it here,
swg is dead, beyond dead. bloodfin has like 60 players and of those maybe 30 are at the keybaord and of those maybe 5 are overt.
theres only 1 thing swg can do to fix this game and survive through this winter of new games coming out
close about 10 - 15 servers and let all jedi and non jedi transfer to the 7- 10 remaining servers, to fix the population problem.
im off to wow, i havnt really been on swg in days, just sit w/ my in-game significant other, then log off and play other fun games. Im a huge star wars fan and i want to cry everytime i think of loggin in my jedi, i cant play her, she'll die to gimps who can only spam snare and -mind regain stuff, ppl that cant kill me all they can do is wait my force out to kill me. this game is horribly broke, ill come bback in 4-5 patches and hopefuly my jedi will be fun then. Until then my houses are paid up , for 4 months. im taking a break. im gonna go have me some fun guys, i suggest you go have fun too all of you

What is TIgg's job?
Public Relations.
She's paid to lie. It's what she has been hired to do. It's what all PR persons do.

Amen. Ive cancelled all my SWG accounts, and to be honest after reading all the crap that Tiggs is spewing, along with all the other morons, I wont be back. The game is broken, always has been since the early days after beta. I have no clue **edit** they are doing inthis game dev wise. SWG is like the red headed stepchild where you send the people who are the crappiest programmers and hope they get better so you can move them up to the A games like thier bread and butter EQ and EQ2.
Well, Im not going to go that route, Im in the Horde.. and thats where Im staying... until the next good MMPORG comes out.. which is going to be Star Trek Online ![]()
Hasta SWG .. and all you devs and managers can kiss my royal you know what.
My Jedi .. my other toons ... all 5 , cancelled. Forever. KMA Sony Online Entertainment. I'll never play another SOE game again.
I think what SOE needs to do is have a committee of players from each server who represent all professions, more so leaning towards jedi and bh though. Then once a week these players meet on a special test center server to test future updates. They play in game with the actual devs, communicate and test together at the same time. Then discussions and any changes are made and publish is pushed to live. With(this is key here) a strong emphasis on listening to what the player testers have to say. Then once the publish goes live a new committee of players is selected for the next publish. This can be the responsibility of the forum correspondants. And as a reward for being a special player tester they get 1 month subscription free. Sure it might cost SOE a few mor bucks, but sure saves a lot more than actaully losing customers permantently and canceled preorders and all the frustration to the community. If there was such a player committee testing with the devs at the same time then this pub 24 would have had some modifications undoubtedly that would nothave resulted in as largeaof exile of jedi and solo players, if at all.
EXample, with SL changes, tehy should have had players of all professions constantly dueling together under watch and direction from the devs, then communicate and discuss and modify and repeat untill all the testers together are satisfied, then voila, good publish, thumbs up from the community. MAybe 50 or so free month prescriptions handed out at the cost of saving loss of hundreds, potentially thousands of canceled accounts and pre orders.....and much unneeded stress too.
