Yes. Thereis an SWG 2, currently in the works.

How do I know this you say?

Just before the CU and RoW was released, SWG stratics posted an interview of a high level SOE executive about the CU, Rage of the Wookiees's and the future of SWG. In theinterview he did confirm that a SWG 2 was in the works, but he refuse to comment on it.

When SOE made swg, they never intended to put the jedi profession in the game. It was only because of George Lucas, thet SOE added a jedi profession into the game.

So since LAwill continue its pro-Jedi stance, it would stand to reason that SWG 2 would better balance the addition of Jedi to the game. One can only hope.

I pray that there is, Ive never heard about this business of George Lucas insisting that theres jedi in the game etc, etc, but something I certainly am very aware of is that SOE have consistently completely ignored what was once a huge and dedicated player base resulting in the game becoming this burnt out shell of a mess it is now.

Cu was to make or break swg, its now completely broken it beyond repair and hopefully SWGII will happen with a completely new game engine and dedicated team of developers who want to listen to the people who play the game.

Honestly I think at this point, the only way to make a good SWG is to start over from stractch...which would have to be a new game. It would have to be a whole new paradigm...less focus on one aspect of the universe...the GCW.

If they made the GCW the MAIN focus of the game, that would be fine, seeing as how it effects the entire galaxy...but they should also allow for underworld factions and their private wars, and the Jedi involved. This could be set post RotJ to where luke has set up the temple on yavin, and the jedi order has been restored, allowing for jedi, and sith. The empire would still exist in scattered bands, and the republic will be the dominate force in the galaxy.

There's just so much that should have been in as original desgin .

The NGE is a decent start. Now lets bring the rest of the worlds up to par with Tatooine and Mustafar
