BTW, there were many exploits that I could have used, but chose not to exploit because it is wrong! If you finish in 3 to 5 days, then you are indeed ruining jedi, along with the other 30 jedi down there.

I am not jealous. Why would I be? You will be retarded as a finished jedi, just like you are now.

You're just a weee bit outta line here. Let people play the game the way they wish to. It is in accordance to the rules set forth by SOE. If you don't like it, you don't have to like it, but you shouldn't take it (and make it) so personal.

The problem, or uproar, about the trails is not that you can AFK, it is that you can AFK and not be tracked by BHs. If only one of these conditions existed, no one would be having a fit. However, I submit to you that BHs are going to start getting more frustrated very soon.

You can still get the grind done AFK on other planets, and with no visibility. I made up a macro to help a friend get the Jabba's badge. I'm CL80, she was CL1 crafter/entertainer that wanted to start the village quests. Let's say her name was Zina, I used this macro named Zina:

/target Zina;

/pause 1;

/follow;

/attack;

/pause 3;

/ui action defaultButton;

/pause 1;

/macro Zina;

This macro would target her, follow her, attack whatever she attacked, wait 3 seconds then accept any ride she offered me. If I did not get in a vehicle with her, I'd just attack again in 5 seconds. I was able to follow her around and get in her multipassenger vehicle any time she offered a ride. She'd get out and I'd get ejected too and start attacking stuff she did. I was using a bowcaster, so I gained no visibility. All she had to do was remember not to target any yellow dot NPC she had to speak with (she used the /conv NAME command) and she had to keep me from getting stuck when she ran through Jabba's palace. Otherwise, complete Wookiee with bowcaster bodyguard. I even set up a second macro that gave her a /bactaShot every 12 seconds.

You could set this macro up just as easily and use a saber, the only difference is you'd have to make sure the person you target would untarget any attacker and run around if there were PCs or NPCs that give you visibility within 32m. If you trust a guildmate with this, you can do your AFK grind anywhere at any time.

When the Jedi that MUST grind afk (and I do think you are missing the point of the game if you grind completely afk) learn this, BHs will start to find only full template Jedi on the terminals or the rare oddball young padawan that had a bad day or got followed by a cloaked Jedi of the opposite faction. Very soon the only Jedi on the terminals are going to be the ones who want to be there or don't care about being hunted, and the BH community is going to find their "I pwned a Jeedai" days behind them.

I have not hunted once on the Ryatt Trail or Kashyyyk for that matter. I have never once gained XP while AFK with the exception of Dancer and Musician XP, which would explain why I am still not finished grinding.I grind my XP on Dantooine or Lok hunting bols or gurks. If you need help hunting or anything and you are on my server shoot me a /tell.

please stop the ryatt grinding, all of my jedi friends are afk on that damn trail leaving nobody to help me and maybe 5 others (i duno ive never met them rofl) who want to grind on the normal planets and not get pwnt by dark knights.
are piket spin groups just not fun anymore? or is it the BH threat? i mean most of them are starting to hunt on the trails now anyway, so chances are youd have a better chance of survival off planet at the keyboard then you would afk-ing the wooks...
i haven't ground on the ryatt yet because i wanted to avoid that but if it comes to it then i might have to bite my tongue and go there, i mean, if thats where all the jedi are why shouldn't i be there?
just wondering if anybody but me likes to grind on normal planets...

I tried. Oh how I tried to resist the temptation of the Ryatt. After 2 solid weeks of nightly attempts to find a group ANYWHERE outside of the Dant MO, I gave up. They just didn't exist. So, Off I went to the Ryatt trail and earned more XP in a day than I had since day one of my padawan status. *shrug*

I'm sad to say that yes, for the first time since the hologrind... I played AFK. The majority of the time, I was right there, watching and playing on my own accord.. but for 2 hours a night, I left myself to the Fates. And yes, I do feel kinda' disgusted with myself for doing it.

On a side note.. I thought the general concensous was that there are too many visible Jedi already.. why am I persicuted [sic] for hiding myself? Sure, I generated enough visibility to ensure a spot in some BH's datapad.. but I am outside of the public eye.

Still doesn't make much sense to me that a group of wookies who have rejected the ways of even their own kind are somehow able to report my presence to The Empire shortly before they're run through by my saber

Cabra, you are a reject. I can't believe that you are admitting to afking jedi. Tell you what, STF-U and I don't EVER want to hear you tell any of us that actually earned our jedi anything! (Dude, get a grip. It's just a game.)You are what is entirely wrong with Jedi, SWG and MMORPG's in general. What server are you on? You have given me a reason to create a MBH there just so I can kill you over and over again.

I work 50+ hours a week and still managed to grind my jedi and have a life. (Judging from your last statement, if you take this so seriously i'd question what kind of a "life" you're refering too) If you can't put in the work, then you don't deserve it.

It's people like you tha will end up screwing the rest of us over with more and more nerfs until jedi is completely worthless, like Squad Leader and Commando..I'm sure they will all thank you for ruining their professions with your 'nade grind too.

Why don't you start paying everyone's subscription and then you can tell people how to play and pass judgements.

Jesus, bitter much? lol Are you his dad or legal gaurdian or something to that effect?

"Tell you what, STF-U and I don't EVER want to hear you tell any of us that actually earned our jedi anything!Now go to your room and think about what you have done young man! No ice cream for you tonight! LMAO.

I love to read the ranting!

So tell me, do you go on the dancer forums too and tell them to stop afk dancing? No? Yeah I didnt think so.

I would'nt know how to akf grind and I never will. I enjoy grinding and the pleasure of earning the next level. But to be pissed off and spat insults at someone because they do it the easy andLEGAL way is just sad. So what? Who cares? Enjoy what you do not what others do. Like you said "its just a game"

Okay, I guess I'm the only person to think that the original whining was that the AFK jedis in question were monopolizing a set of mob spawns that the original poster wished to kill himself to grind, and that he wished that they would stop so he'd have a chance to try the spawn himself.

Did I just pop a crazy pill or something?

It sounds like everyone else heard "AFK jedi grinders are ashcrofts" or "Wook-grinding jedi are ashcrofts".

I heard "quit hogging the spawn, dirtbags".

People are going to play how they like, when they like. Some will have consideration for others, acknowledging that they aren't the only ones paying to play. Others will run roughshod over other players without a single thought of what they're doing or how it would feel to be in the other person's position. And a rare few will go out of their way to make everyone else's experience suck as much as they humanly can because it amuses them to do so. All types pay the same money for the priveledge to do so. Not much you can say to that.

I tear my hair and curse up a blue storm behind my keyboard every time I see a jedi talking leet trash in PvP and behaving like a 13-year-old who needs ritalin. But it stays behind the keyboard because that person paid to be able to make the game less immersive and have a grand old time doing so. If it becomes so traumatic that I'd feel the need to publicly post a slam against that player or type of players, I'd just quit the game because it'd be time for me to pack it up and move on. My point? Stop whining on the forums about something that is obviously not only as intended, but to the liking of the many. Because in the end, "the many" are who SOE is catering to.

Precisely. Let the AFKers macroplay, when they're full temp they'll be fodder for BH because they won't understand how to play their character anyway. Granted, this could bring down the almighty nerf bat but there really isn't much anyone can do about that except whine more..and we all know where that getsus -_-;; Personally, I took 4 months to master TK pre-CUand I loathe macroplay in all forms but that's my own preference. I played day and night when off work and out of school and I understood my character's strengths and weaknesses. I love SWG and Ifully support the CU, bugs and all. Trying to pleasethe amalgamation of players, each with their own preferences and fancies, is nigh impossible!And slogging through these forumsis proof ofjust how sorted everyone is. No matter what the Devs decide to do someone is going to complain. But so long as you keep payingSOE you should be free to enjoy everything they've laid out for you. Ifyou don't like it then just leave.I'm FS and on my way to Jedi slowly but surely and when I get those sacred robes and that coveted saber I will be happy as a clam = ) And I will take months experimenting with different styles and finding my perfect template just as I do now. Granted, I sacrifice a great amount of time to play SWG but that is my choice. If people want a "sociallife"and only have a few hours to play then I shall acquiesceto their respectivegameplay styles. Even if I dislike the idea of players missing out on actually "playing", it's not my place to judge them and it's entirely within their bounds to do so.

The only thingI do want to say isthatwhoeversaid " you would have done the same thing too" is entirely wrong. Just because exploits exist that does not mean that every player is going to,well, exploit them. I have the option and I would never do it. And I garuantee that I'm not alone in that respect.

Wat?!?!?! Not know how to use their jedi? BFS. I use been using my friends jedi for less than a week and i know exactly how to use him. And you are entirely wrong, if this exploit happened a long time ago when all the complaining jedi were grinding they WOULD use it. trust me theirs no doubt in my mind.
