Thread: Pre Publish 9 Jedi opinion on Patch 24

Why has this not been addressed by our correspondent? Isn't his job to discuss our issues and take it back to the development team, or is TOW so important that they don't want to fix existing bugs? Funny but this reminds me of right before the JTL expansion, tons of bugs with no fixes and still a new release.

Tough words from a respec noob.

- Do you not remember the days of hiding the fact you were a Jedi?
- Solo hunting in the corners of Dathomir and Endor?
- Not logging your Jedi for days to make sure you were gone from the terms?
- Logging someone's BH to check the terms for your name before you went hunting?
Yes we are weak now and its solely because everyone has a Jedi, we aren't the rare breed of the past but instead are more common than crafters. In a system where there are this many Alpha class players, there is no choice but to make them weaker. Yes it sux, I agree 110% but it has to be expected.
oh, man, do i remember... the good old days. it was tough going out solo all the time, but i loved being a jedi back then. it was exciting, unique... alas. /sigh. it's not even the CU i mind so much as the feeling that i had actually accomplished something by unlocking (profession #26, weaponsmith), and i had learned a ton about this game in the process.
the "more common than crafters" comment is right on. sadly.

I remember all of this all too well. You can also add:
- Every opposite faction player that stumbled onto you while TEFfed taking a crack at you.
- Entire skill box losses.
- Xorro and his forcerun/mindblast suckerpunch.
- 100k xp/hour being a very good grind.
Unfortunately the system has changed so drastically there's no way tobe fair to all Jedi as far as payoff for effort put into acheiving a full template. Ican acceptbeing watered down, but I can't respect penalization for being a veteran player.

Stay off the terms.
1884 brilliant posts like this one no doubt
So, what advantage do I have if I do not show off at the starport?

2: its good for the game overal, Now jedi Wont be showing off at starport, Jedi will actually fear Bounty Hunters(as it should be)... Oh well, with all the Cry, it wont be long till they Nerf SL.
now jedi is not an alpha class...exactly what every non jedi/jedi hater wanted
now ranged is alpha class and that is balanced and fair? what a bunch of moronic hypocrites.
"you jedi are just mad you do not have an i win button anymore, stay off the terms" these same ass clowns are now having no problems and say all is fair since the roles are reversed....i give up, i am on your side now. a 3 day old player should be alpha class....that sounds balanced and fair to me.....sure, whatever!

It really upset me to type that line but it's so true. I am a 22 month old player (Dec '03)and never got to experience the good ole days of being a Jedi and that disappoints me so bad, I worked my ass off to unlock before pub 10 but I got the shaft on the hologrind.
For those that don't know...the devs were increasing the number of "silent" holos you had to do and no one knew for sure that it was going on. We all suspected something but it wasn't confirmed until patch 10 went live. I ended up doing 22 professions and half the FS grind.
I wanted my alt to be my Jedi, not my main. I wanted to live in the days of secrecy. I wanted to fear someone finding out I was a Jedi. I wanted all of these things because it was fun and exciting and that's not what it is now. You can ask just aboutanyone out of the blue what their Jedi template is and they will respond with an answer. I do see a little bit of a trend though, many new players aren't even trying to unlock which is what they (LA and SOE) want I think.
We have no choice but to suck it up...bitching doesn't change anything, neither does cancelling your account. It never has and never will. ![]()
I know this post doesn't go with the flow butthey aremy thoughts. Try to have a good time with the cards you are dealt and pray for change! If you can't then /tiphat, just leave with a little dignity.
ya i agree with you entirley ebei. im not a pre publish 9 jedi, but i am a pre-cu jedi also, i remember those days and how much fun it was, how awesome it was to be a jedi, to be able to take on a few people all at once
the rly sad thing is now the jedi correspondent doesnt give a hoot about us for who knows what reason...maybe he got fired/canned it wouldnt surprise me if they did get rid of him so everyone else who works there could get a higher pay check..since all they care about anyways seems to be the money.
ya i think this game is going downhill fast now...i already cancelled my subscription 3 weeks ago or so...my account ends on october 20th...i dont plan on renewing it, we have given the developers and soe long enough to fix things that needed to be addressed and fixed..and they havent..we gave them a chance to make things right and they havent..we are all customers and want a product that works, apparently they cant provide that for some odd reason.
to everyone who has put up with the game and had hopes for it being great like i did i.... /salute you
