Thread: Pre Publish 9 Jedi opinion on Patch 24

Of course we're more common than crafters. Crafting used to be fun, pre-cu. The simplification of the crafting system, lack of diversification, and ongoing failure to curb cross-server lot trading has dumbed the crafting system down to the point where it's not enjoyable.
Kind of like what they are doing to jedi, now that I think about it. How fun will it be to spend most pvp battles waiting for snare to wear off so we can hopefully dodge the next one, while getting hammered from sl-buffed untouchables 80m away? I keep waiting for "balance" to be implemented in a way where it isn't a euphemism for "cornhole jedi."

Yes we are weak now and its solely because everyone has a Jedi, we aren't the rare breed of the past but instead are more common than crafters. In a system where there are this many Alpha class players, there is no choice but to make them weaker. Yes it sux, I agree 110% but it has to be expected.
I unlocked 2 weeks ago, so I cannot relate to all of those points. I do, however, do my best to conceal the fact that I am a Jedi now. Two weeks into it, some of my friends in-game still don't know that I am. I slipped once and forgot to change from my Padawan Robes before entering a city, but quickly got out of said city and changed clothes.
People complain that no Jedi actually act like Jedi, but it's kinda ironic because there ARE Jedi out there who act like Jedi in the game, it's just that part of doing so requires hiding the fact that you swing a glow-stick of death, so the general population doesn't know who we are.

not when the whole damn genre was centered around this prof being the strongest in the galaxy......period. i am a pre 9 jedi and want what was promised 2 years ago....that we would be rewarded for our time and effort. we went from being 10 times stronger to now less than half as strong as some templates that take literally 3 days max to grind out. takes 15.2 mil xp to get fr3 which is 152mil reg xp only to be negated by a novice rifle skill taking only 510k xp to get.....real fair and balanced that is.
When there were very few Jedi, you could slaughter a group of 20 without any trouble. Now that everyone is a Jedi andit can be done in a very short time period, you can be killed by one player...there is a connection there and while it does suck, it is reasonable to expect. Pre 9 Jedi do suffer because of the time it took to acheive a full template but that isn't the case any more....the reward for a quick grind is far less than what it was when the grind was difficult. I never said I agree with it, only that it is to be expected.
I do think its crap to whine about getting killed by a BH though....stay off the terms.

I'm a Knight, have been since the FRS, I'm also a pre publish 9 jedi. I know my template very very well. Even that was no match for 3, yes count them 3, bounty hunters today. One had the new squadleader buffs and i couldn't damage him, not even with force speed+armor break+705damage saber. Other two were combat medics and I swear they were healing once a second or close to it and low low mind/action use. Finally the third got me. The only reason he got me was cause of snare. From what I read I was under the impression that when snared it takes us down to half our movement speed, but it can be negated by other enhancements, meaning that if snared andI force runI should still be able to move faster. HEH like that worked.
Why has this not been addressed by our correspondent? Isn't his job to discuss our issues and take it back to the development team, or is TOW so important that they don't want to fix existing bugs? Funny but this reminds me of right before the JTL expansion, tons of bugs with no fixes and still a new release.
This is severely going to cause a lot of unrest with a ton of veteran players, I hope that SOE keeps in mind that they are not the only game out there to play and soon more and more players are going to leave to play elsewhere. One of the things that will kill this game is word of mouth, how many times have u been at the game store and ask the guy next to you if he had tried playing a certain game and if it was worth the money? Well what if that person said nah u don't want that game, too many bugs, no customer support/feedback, and the end game isn't really worth it, would you still buy it? Doubt it.
Please listen to your clients, because honestly were your employers also, our monthly payments are your paychecks.
These are my opinion's but judging from other forum posts I'm feeling like I'm not alone.

That is always the DUMBEST response. The only thing a Jedi can do off the terminals is grind and hunt creatures. We can't do anything with content, no quests, NOTHING.

And before you point your finger at me and accuse me of the same, I've never trolled the BH forums, even though my alt is MBH and I have full rights to. Go back to your forum and share your joygasms of momentary triumph with the other BH's. That's just a polite request of course, and not meant as a flame, but it will more than likely be taken out of context and you'll try to start a pi$$ing contest with me, but it's not going to work. I've dropped my two cents in my own forum and you've dropped your two cents in OUR forum and no doubtedly your own...again, thanks for trolling.
