I think MLS is great for offense if:
*pearl drops are fixed
*saber speed is fixed
*accuracy vs defense is fixed

These are the issues that were making me doubt the effectiveness of MLS...glad to see I'm not alone.

armor break= 65% armor reduction

the master box gives +45 speed. (like +20 general melee speed, and +25 saber type speed) which is like having two improved force speeds going.

You have all the improved hits as well.

I just had a bh encounter, who had no ab resist armor, so here's the breakdown on the damn I had. (only 515 max dam saber as well)

Armor break (like 200 dam or so)

Improved head hit (650 damage)

Improved Leg hit (650 damage)

Knockdown (like 100 dam?)

Improved power attack (800 some damage)

Rinse repeat... fight didn't last long, and that's with a crap/decent saber. None of those were master moves, but I benefited from the speed, as he was constantly healing, his mind went down to crap. My worst enemy is my FC, of 36.. I only get one shot then I gotta run and cloak, as I can't go on for more than about 10 minutes with channeling during the fight.

Another note on the speed, mcm's debuff takes like..what is it.. -40 to your speed? So MLS just negated that, then I have improved force speed, which netted me another +20, so it helps the mcm encounters too. (compared to non mls users)

Im not as aware as to how all the extra speed that you get with the master box will help because apparently it is broken and has never worked. Dervish only helps for spin groups (could be replaced with spin). Adv. saber throw is the best non-warmup special there is. If adv. saber throw were still in the tech tree, master would hands down be not worth it.

Well I can tell you it makes a difference with the cooldown timers.

My brother used to be mls, he's currently 0443, he can swing with a pre-cu one handed just as fast as he can with his pre-cu double bladded. HE HAS NO ONE-HANDED MODS. There is NO difference with his cooldown timers. Also, i being a mls myself have a +20 double bladded speed suit, it does jack. I notice a huge difference with my fs2 and notice NO difference with my speed tapes.

You will notice a huge difference between 0404 and mls simply because you do not have enough attacks to chain together. 0444, 4404, 0440, or Mls will all do same amount of damage with the same amount of speed

Advanced Saber throw is what makes it worth it, that and the added accuracy.

yeah as guy above me said, you will notice the speed does help.. I'm starting to think it's not actually broken, as tests are starting to clash together.. But I notice a speed increase with adrenal buff.. I notice a speed increase with force speed.. And I sure as hell noticed a speed increase when I got MLS.. My fourth jedi just worked his way up to x4xx And has had a huge speed increase compared to last week when just had all novices...

but either way, yes, worth it to me.

I'm a girl, thankfully.

And the best way to do this is to, for example, take a saber at 0404 and kill several mobs. Once you have your rhythm going on the timers try again with MLS. You'll notice that you can fire off attack more quickly.

with no decent crystal /pearls, si it even worth getting MLS? I was told to go with sabers because Powers doesnt do enough damage. Well, if i craft a saber with 240 base damage(average), if i add 4 crystals/ pearls with an average damage of 70, I will still only get to 520 max damage. Is that enough? right now, i can hit with lightening up 1039/64+, my saber is crap, but still... I cant come near my lgihtening damage with my saber.

I want to do quests, kill high end Mobs, and defend myself in PvP (not worrie dabout domianting everyone)

What shoudl I do: MPowers with a little saber..or just go MLS and hope for some rare tunes and/or them to fix the drops?

I htionk youll find that there are quite a few pwople w/o master sabers that do just fine. For you with that saber Id say powers mighe tbe better. My saber has a higher min tha nyour max and its not even considered an "uber" saber. I dueled a guy last night who wasa MLS but only had a good 3rd gen saber. I thinkI healed twice during the whole fight, and that was only after I let him hit me a few times while kded. Its the sorry state of sabers these days.

If they ever fix the speed and Pearls MLS may stand a chance.
