lightsaber crafting wouldnt mean much, and there wouldnt be a huge divide between post an pre cu jedi , cause dps is no longer a faction, in fact!!!! light sabers will have no dps , they will just simply kill you if your touched by them or incur any damage by them!!

Let me make a statement, especially to the OP.
This is not the movies, this is a game. The kind of damage you ask for in an MMO would make people quit. There is no fun in instant death. I was actually trying to find a post from a developer of another game, when someone was asking why there couldnt be more realism. The reason why LS doesnt one hit, is because not only would that be unbalanced, but albeit it would be "realistic", it would not be fun. See, I hear you say this, but what would happen if this were the case, and you couldnt play because you spent more time getting cloned because you kept being killed instantly.
You have to sacrifice some "realism" for the sake of fun, and the game. Also, another point. Blasters tend to one hit also. I remember in all 6 movies, many many people being killed instantly from blasters. The knife cuts both ways. Be reasonable in your requests, and you probably won't be flamed as much.
All you are asking for is an I win button. That is a bit selfish, me thinks.
