are you sure he wasnt putting things like electrollyte drain , shock, traumatize, thyroid rupture on you. those are debuffs that show in your icon status bar, but are not DOT's so they will not break paralyze

Seems logical. I thought those would break Paralyze also though. But since they dont do damage its seems possible to stack all those and then the disease and fire right at the end.

Does stasis work the same way? Can you apply a debuff to someone in stasis without it breaking?

yes, as long as they do not cause acutal damage. the usual MO of a MCM is paralyze then do debuffs, then apply the DOT's

yup.

usual MO is :

1- apply DoTs

2- Paralyze

3- Apply debuffs

BTW, what is the range of poisons and fires?

LOL this attack combo will get your killed fast. If you apply DOTs at the start of the fight you will not be able

to Paralyze (because it will break on damage) so whn you think the jedi if paralyzed and you start to de-buff you will

find yourself on your back very fast. LOL

Most Jedi dont understand that a DOT anda DE-BUFF are very differant attacks. Dots do damage. De-buff cut your regen.

my xp with mcm has been the par breaks as soon as i apply fire or poison. both these tick as soon as applied. i can put all the debuffs on, and apply disease w/o breaking it. disease does not do damage when first applied.

as to pvp, i have no clue, i dont pvp.

Hmm.. that could be it then.

They Paralyze and stack all the Debuffslike thyroid rupture ect and then the disease and fire right at the end. The fire will break the Paralyze.

Seems logical.

I really dont care its just annoying to have a free roll like that.

k listen up mate . im glad you finally got it. but if you read my first sentance you will realise that thats what i said.

probably never been a cm? lol, but call me a noob. funny crap.

Really? Funny how a MCM/MBH had my mission the other day and ran upto me, Paralyzed me and stacked every DOT he had on me before paralyze broke.

Its doesnt, or it currently doesnt due to a bug.

DOT or debuff? Debuffs are fine, why not? That or paralyze, debuff, paralyze, debuff, etc. until applied. Same difference, one way you both just sit there longer.

Thank you, I thought I was going crazy.

Dont know about the order, all I know is a MCM can run upto to me and Paralyze me, and then stand there and toss every DOT he has at me before it wears off.

no he cannot...he can apply 3 states or dots to you before the mezz is broken and then the mezz cannot be reapplied for 40 seconds. if he applied everything then you stood there and got dotted up after the paralyze was done. Want some advice? Force Sap and you won't have this big of a problem because force sap means no healing.

hehe, nope never been a CM. Dont care to be one either. Im not so fast to /respec to the FOTM templates. CM will get nerfed soon im sure. Its to uber ATM.

True about forum registry, but it does reflect how much you have been contributing to the community or for how long you have.

I hear ya. In this case I was wrong. I interpreted what was happening incorrectly. I admitted this and after a few posts conceded the point.

Ya know, to tell you the truth I think these forums is part of the problem with me starting to hate this game. I think between the nerf calls and the complaints its putting a negative spin on what the game has to offer.

I jumped all over you without even knowing you because my defenses are way up when I enter this forum. Everyone on here has an agenda. That agenda includes making their profession better than others.

A while back I got into a 10 page argument about perma daze, and fought for days about this special being chained on me. The answer I got from most smugglers was "You cant perma daze" or "Your wrong, there is no way you can perma daze" I guess I assumed you were just defending your profession as everyone does.

With that I think im going to take a break from these forums and see if it improves my overall prospective of SWG. I don’t want to add to what is happening to this place and to SWG. (Nerf calls ect) So ill see you all around.

well you sound like a very reasonable guy. everybody can have a bad moment or something so dont sweat it. i personally dont think you need a forum break

DoT: Damage over Time

Debuff: Debilitiating move

There is a big difference in these. A CM can paralyze then add debuffs, which do not damage you. If he applies a DoT paralyze instantly breaks (the moment a dot lands, it causes damage). If they do it any other way, they aren't very good at using their skills.

I dont have a problem with it. I spank every BH/MCM that comes for me.

some are better than others and can lead to a very drawn out annoying fight, but its all about timing and I kill em all in the end.

ok, no hard feelings on my side.

I've had a cm toonbefore cu and now i still have a cm toon. Atlhough it was different toons and different servers I have basically always had a cm toon. AndI remember right after cu everybody was saying that cm was nerfed so badly . Well anyhow I just found it funny how you said I had no clue what was going on

about forum registry date: Forum registry date only means when you registered on the forums. Not more and not less. How much you have been contributing to the community depends on how many valuable posts you have made.

everybody who is saying its easier to get something nerfed than fixed: yes i know. but nerfing hurts the fun.
