Hey, does anyone remember all the tamed animals people had? It was like walking into a Pokemon game when everyone dabbled in Creature Handler. I thought that was fun actually. I loved my Rancor pets and stuff. I really enjoyed Creature Handler.

I miss the days when there were no mounts or bikes and we had to do corpse runs. Probably one of the few who remeber those days.

I think it's funny how adimently you were for, and how much you defended the CU, only to finally come out and express your TRUE feelings for it, as it is being replaced. Now are you going to speak your true feelings for the new combat system, or are you going to be saying it's the best thing since sliced bread until it is replaced?

I still feel the Combat Upgrade was better than pre-cu.

Pre-cu was too much focus on composite armor, gigantic swords and dot weapons. None of which belong in star wars.

I can understand that, but still... This is not, and never will be Star Wars. Leave Star Wars, and that "Star Warsy" feel to the single player games. It's the only way you're going to be fully submerged in the story, the characters, and the universe.

Oddly enough I miss the times before I was a Jedi ... when all the Galactic Battlegrounds gang got together on eclipse and made GSR a force ... I miss the organised pvpagainst Sidious Rites on Talus ... I miss being cloned repeatedly as 8 of us tried to bring down a single Dark Jedi Knight ... there is a line in a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta which comes to mind here ... Star Wars to me is blasters, lightsabers, stormtrooper armor, rebels, starship battles, specific aliens and droids. If that's fulfilled I do not really care what system drives it, as long as the system does not stop me from experiencing the game.

That's what CU had more than pre-CU, and that's what NGE will have more of than the CU.

The game can indeed be Star Wars, and I definitely never played SWG becouse of the system.

Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

That sums up all I hated about pre-cu and what caused many of my friends to leave the game.

I miss the combat que.

Still can't think of a reasonwhy they took it out of the game with the CU1. It has no place in the CU2 though.

I miss the FRS/+Titles/+Robes.

I'llbe able to wear my Dark Knight robe againsoon enough, but the titles are long gone. Pity because I wanted the Dark Jedi Templar title. Although my chances of getting to rank5 werenon-existent pre-cuwithout fight clubbing.Would've been easy post-cu withthe increase in jedi.Still, hats off to JustG.The FRS system was a great pvp system that gave rewards and a point for jedi to get out there and participate in the 'end game'.Too bad so much of it was flawed or outright broken. It had a lot of promise.

Oh yeah! Screw the carebears. Perma-overt was superfun. Heightened your senses, and paranoia.... omg just like a real jedi. Or guildwars... with something to gain/lose and a overallgoal. -AND- it saved you a trip to a factional recruiter.

I miss group tefs / factional tefs.

First time I did the imp theme park my swoop got ganked by three rebels. Took one down with my 450max damageacklay stun baton.Warcry2'ed the othermelee onebut I still got hit with a nasty firedot so I ran inside while twelve or so imps ran out to finish off the two rebels. Incapped twice by fire and thankfully one of the imps was a doc so he healed my fire.

Bounty missions were so much funner with group tefs. MassiveBounty Hunter tefbattles that raged from the geo caves to the Mining outpost on yavin iv.With fourty or so participants mixing it up over one jedi and losing multiple swoopsin the battles. It was your group vs the other group.

I miss being a Master Healer.

Sure there was a lot of better templates out there, but when I finally completed my template pre-cu, the first thing I did to get myself on the terminals (since I stayed offthe whole time during my grind)was force run 2 around eisley and hit everybody with Total Heal All. Which TOTALLY DID NOT HEAL ALL! It was actually useful being onesince only Combat Medics could heal mind. And it cost them a lot more then it cost us. Spent the first two weeks of the CU stubbornly refusing to switch. But after a string of 12 bounty hunters in a row (some in groups, two solo.... all respecs) and barely holding my own against Bounty Hunters that clearly didn't know how to pvp I was forced to switch templates to survive. And not get picked on so much because I had a crappy template.

They left the game becouse:

* The grinding
* The sologrinding
* The timewasters
* The lack of Star Wars feel
* The lack of content

Well, what most of them do remember it's the grinding. The long horrible grinding that offered nothing in terms of gameplay experience, wether you where artisan, entertainer or combateer.

The grind offered the biggest reward of all,massive fastpaced pvp fights which was a blast to be a part of despite the wicked fire and poison dots

There are mmo's for that who surpasses everything SWG had to offer by far when it came to pvp. Games in which you can begin pvp'ing from day one, that have pvp rewards to earn and missions that kept people doing it.
