I agree choice is the key. One should choose to engage inPvP. I am saying that the ones of us that do want PvP can not find a steady flow of it. It is at best sporadic and staggered and not sustainable for any reasonable length of time.
I merely suggest one way to eradicate the situation is to install a buffer between filling the six branches for Jedi and Jedi initiate to include PvP.
The true purpose of this post is to engaged the masses in order to yield a viable and acceptable method of delivering PvP Live Internet gaming.
Thank You
Translation: I can't find enough people to PvP with, so SOE should force everyone to just to make me happy.
You DO NOT agree with choice being the key. The reality seems to be that, on your server, the majority of people DO NOT CHOOSE TO PvP and you don't like it. You say you support choice, then go on to say that people should be forced into a mode of gameplay so as to supply you with people to fight. The point of SWG is NOT to "yield a viable and acceptable method of delivering PvP Live Internet gaming". It is for people to roleplay a character in the Star Wars universe, be that character a crafter, healer, fighter, hunter, or Jedi. There are plenty of disciplines and abilities in the Jedi profession that are NOT geared towards PvP, if that were the case everyone would be forced to be MLS. Thankfully we don't play in your warped little world and people can choose to play the game they pay for in the manner of their choosing, using professions and abilities built-into the game. When you start paying my subscription fees, you can then assume to dictate the way I play my game.
You can always transfer to a server that has more PvP, or go play Lineage or Unreal Tournament or something. Just a suggestion of course, though I think the excruciatingly slow pace of SWG PvP with it's warmup and cooldown timers would find you getting spawn-raped in UT or other FPS.

what i want to know and this is a big if, the old FRS required all Knights to be perma overt if SOE goes to a like FR in the new system...what are these "Im a pve Jedi" going to do....*puts envolope to forehead* swami says "more whine theards are in the future"....but of course that is a big if but something to ponder
It's already been stated that the new FRS will be 1v1 Jedi-vs-Jedi. This has raised some balance concerns for Jedi who have chosen a support template (ie. MHealer orMEnhancer) as opposed to the FotM MLS/MDef. These are not "PvE" Jedi, they have chosen a support role for their groupmates (and rightly so), but toe-to-toe there's no way they could beat a pure combat Jedi in PvP.
