As I said, it's worse with sniper shot. Sure, sniper shot doesn't do the kind of damage that LD does, but if a CM lands all the debuffs and you are snared, with the called shot buff sniper shot is going to do 3-5K of damage in one shot. The BH can probably get off 2 of those before a snared jedi can get within 20m too, if he was 50-60 M away when he started.
Maybe I am a little bit biased since I have a certain template, but I can say a BH will not get off two shots at me that deal that kind of damage - either I am incapped after the first shot, or I will be right next to the BH and start pounding on him.
Adv. Snipershot needs a 20m range to work, and if a BH tries to get that 20m, I use my anti-kiting move: +Cloak+ / silence / -Cloak- +Rooted+ / +Armor Break+ ...
But I do agree that a BH can kill a Jedi without Force Cloak very easily by just applying ED (or regular snare / root combos should the Jedi use Rancor Aid), without the Jedi having a chance to even hit the BH - which is a huge problem.
An MBH / MRM / SL 0400 can hit for about 8k before mitigation on an MDef (thats about 3.1k after MDef mitigations), which is also a problem.

Yep, I guess that this is their "fix" to the snare issue. Why worry about a perma-snare if you will be killed in one or two shots?
Don't expect a meaningful tweak to this. It will be decreased, but this WAS the decrease according to the Devs. It will be moved back somewhat, but expect it to still be an "I win" button when combined with the changes on snares and debuffs.

Yes, so to the above poster about a jedi "surviving"....How does a jedi survive this? Perfect armor would give somewhere around 60% resists. I'm not entirely sure what a MDef can muster since I'm Def 4040, butI know that it's less (I've read something around 48%). 15K damage even at 60% is 6,000 damage through. ALL species, even with the village health crystal, will be incapped in that shot. The only hope is that the saber block will work, and that seems to be working somewhere around 10% for me at MLS (though I don't have Valor).
Anyone else care to comment? Oh, these issues are why I have lost faith with the Devs on this game. I haven't logged in for three weeks since hearing about the change to debuffs. It's the first time that I've voluntarily not logged in for a period approaching this, and I can say that I really no longer miss this game. I am still checking the forums for a sign of life from the game, but not seeing one day after day gives me less and less hope.
The Devs will get what they want with this publish, they will have order 66. Sure, the Jedi will leave, but a rather large number of melee players will also leave. I've also seen quite a few ranged players complain about this dumbing down the game (can you believe that some people don't want to play with a god mode/"I win" button? Imagine that...). This won't put the game immediately out of business, but it will put it well on the road. 'Grats.
Plus, with hits like this, there is no way to survive. These hits are allowing single/double hit kills. Whoever is mentioning called shot/last ditch is mistaken, but there are other combos that are working. How does a Jedi survive an opening attack of something like a called shot followed by a root at something near 50m range? IF that first hit is somewhere in the ranges I've seen (and not in the instant incap or even ranged DB ranges from a MBH/MR character), the Jedi will be barely alive and rooted, already forced into a healing loop.The only way out of that is to try to force the BH into a defensive loop, but wait! The BH is now 80m away and you are snared with no BR/FR to assist. No escape, no way to catch up. Good luck surviving with the increased healing timers. Hope that you have a lot of room for Ruby Bliel...

Where the hell have you been? You're saying NOT to kill the BH??? LOL. And that solves what? You realize 90% (MOST not all) of the BHs out there would rather sit and grief you all day until they are defeated (deathblown). I've ran... I've cloaked... I've tried to reason... sure that's worked about 2% of the time... but the rest of the time the bh is either ignoring me (as most bh's auto-ignore all their targets) or the bh just doesn't care and wants his payday... So I'm forced to fight if I actually want to play my jedi... yes it's something I've come to accept... But you are saying we don't have to kill the BH when that is practically the only way to get rid of the annoying **edit**ers without xp loss

Did he just say this ^^^? Are you serious? Jedi should wait for the BH to give up, and wipe there sweaty brow while saying, "Wow, glad you didn't kill me just there. Whew."

The new FOTM is MBH/MCM/Rifle 4000.
If that template lands all his CM debuffs and dots, all he has to do is snare and sniper shot for the win in one shot.

You realize that wouldn't work. As soon as battle is engaged the BH looses any sl buffs not put on by himself so with that template if he wanted to take advantage of the buffs he would have to do called shot first.
