Sorry for taking your post out of line but u need to understand getting Knight took me 11 months.

I got killed by Random imps in the saber teff and lost hole toons to permadeathdays and gank squad's. So for u to say u still think its a little hard is a big slap in the face.

Jedi needs to be hard you need to understand that if its too easy it no longer has value..

u need to get to know some jedi in game and some BH's and lock your jedi in a guild hall and dule your hart out then use your alt make him a Master BH and hunt jedi see how they fight you. experance it the key! oww and the food post will help alot too..

And if you get in a pinch with the above suggestions, Force Wave to snare and then Force Run outta there if you can.

For me, the best defense against a BH attack is never getting into one. I Stasis and run (Master Enhancer).

There's no reward to killing a BH, so I don't bother fighting them usually.

If you are thinking of a temp change you might want to consider dropping FR2 and doing the mls/def4040/enhance3402 template.

But really at theend of the day choose the template because you like it not because it will benefit you against a BH.

As for tips ....

Foods : Lots of and make sure you have plenty out of crates - I have 2 of everything uncrated + crates in inventory. Make a macro to hit your pvp foods in one button, and have the rest of the foods on a toolbar ready. I have a standard set which eats on a macro and eat others depending on the template of person fighting me.

Use the environment : You have FR2 use it if you can -not to escape but to get to a location more suited to your strengths.

Equipment : Tapes/Clothes/PSG's/Holocrons can all be helpfull. Some good stims can be handy to backup your Jedi healing as well.

Keep an eye on people/radar : Agood 80% of the BH that attack me I know are about to do it. If you are at a remote shuttleport and someone lands and you can see they are on doc buffs and foods there is a high chance they are there for you. Obviously tracking everyone in MOP or Theed is impossible but for the times you are in less populated areas it helps a lot. You may want to move the radar toan on screen location near your current targeted (mob) selection then any new dots will be more apparant. Turning of the terrain display on radar or using Ctrl-M map can help also.

Manage your & be aware of force bar : When in PvE always try and keep your force regened steadily, try to avoid having to sit down and channel the entire thing - you either have an empty force bar = bad or 400 health = bad. Avoid both try and channel as you go to keep it high.

Hope some of that helps

If you'd like to survive in pvp and pve, try 3402 enh, 4040def. This gives you some great innate defenses if you're surprised, and force armor 2 which is a huge benefit for when you're ready. Macro's have saved my life every single time. My channel force macro is

/channelforce

/pause 50

/macro channel

This works realy well for me. If you find yourself running the force down, change to pause 30. Use it in conjunction with some vagnerian canape and some breath of heaven and you will definately stand a chance, and wont even notice the drop in force. The last 3 BH fights, including one that lasted well over half an hour, I had full force the entire time. Granted, I'm still new to pvp, so I probably could have done better, but learning is the important thing. Also, making a macro that just says /forceheal self and tying that to my zero key on my num pad. This makes it easily and quickly accessible if i'm in trouble.

Then, when you get ina fight, use /follow and /forcesuppression to snare them. Knock them down as often as possible. If you get in trouble with lag or with them running away, use saber throw as your auto attack, and just wait for them to get knocked down. Then alternate leg hit, head hit and body hit.
And the most important advice i can give you, is practice. I've been practicing with people in my guild alot lately, and they have definately prepared me for hte last few encounters i've had with BHers.

Amen brother. I had one come after me. I evaded. He sent me tells asking me if i was going to face him, I said no. What is the point? I have everything to loose and nothing to gain. If there was no xp loss, I would fight anyone who wanted to. But until that happens, I wont. Oh.. and calling me chicken is not going to persuade me to fight either. LOL. I love that one.

The reason why jedi will never be as good as it was/or coudl beis bcz we are our own worst enemies... You got phillip 2 posts up saying nerf spin groups.. Give me a break. Each generation of jedi that has come out has had it's own trials and tribulations.. If you got jedi any other way than EBAY, you deserve it!

And for the record phillip, i got full temp jedi in a week!!! Master Lighsaber/Master Enhancer/healer 4040.

I got jedi on a sunday and was done on the following sunday.. How did i do it? I was worse than the soup kitcken natzi! I ran a spin group every day that entire week i took off from work, at a player city that had an afk entertainer to give inspire buffs during each mission refill. Kept the regen times short and everyone moving, cracking that whip.... IT worked well for me and when word got around, would have a list 10 or more long for peeps waiting to get in grou pfor a piece of the uber exp.. Grind, grind grind was the mission and in that entire week i probably slept about 16hrs. And mostly due to server down time.lol.... when there is a will there is a way!

Stop grinding where you get visibility. You aren't a regular profession now. Be glad you don't have group tefs anymore where 20 people could come after you and cause you to loose one of your 3 lives.

But wait. If those were the stakes I'm sure you would make sure no one saw you and that you stayed off the terms...Could be a good thing. /shrug

Hi everyone,

I unlocked jedi 3 weeks ago after playing the game for just over a year and a half. I felt a great sense of acheivement and began grinding imediately, after 2 weeks of solid grinding I acheived full template( def 4340, Mls, Enh 4002, Heal 4000). Now i find my game has changed dramatically.

In the last week i have been killed4 times and 1 drawby BH's which i feel i am either doing some thing wrong or need more experience.

Details of my BH experiences to date:

  • 1st- MBH/CM, being my first BH fight i was nervous, but it introduced me to my new life as ajedi

  • 2nd - MBH/Rifles, with this fight i tried to give my best with the little experience i had, i was forced to use a health crystal and holo, after a lengthy battle we decided on a draw

  • 3rd - MBH/ Rifes(i think), while recieving a inspiration buff a BH ran into the cantina with droid where we battled for a while, i actually felt i was doing well, i had destroyed a couple of droids and had the BH on low health a few times when suddenly the BH from my 2nd encounter ran in and was also attacking me, only thing i could do was run, but the enevitable happened they caught me - dead

  • 4th - MBH/Rifles Well.... this was a little more interesting, while waiting for a shuttle i was suddenly attacked, i had time to make 1 heal, then i was dead. i was shocked. when i reviewed my combat log the BH had hit me 6 times and missed 2 hits in the same time it had taken me to make 1 heal, the Bh claimed he was on speed buffs and pups, but i have never seen fire come so quickly

  • 5th - lol, i can't give any info on this encounter as i wasn't there, i had logged out in a starport, only to find when i was already in the cloner, no record on combat log, just loss of xp

I know one way to counter this is to reduce visability, but i then find there is not much content in the game for me. I look forward to BH encounters as its part of the progession of my game.

I would greatly apprieciate any constructive advice or suggestions

Thanks

Eulo Aoweg

WHAT?!! NO VALOR!!!! I can't believe no one here is tellingyou to get xxx4 def and pick up valor. If anything I would at least have xx44 def...myself, 3044. I too was having difficulty with BH until I discovered VALOR. I found Improved Force Armor to be too much of a drain on my force pool. Eat crispic, pikatta pie, vegasparsine, synthsteak. Find a good brandy for your Mind (spiced tea for mind is good also)& Action and pop Booster Blue. Learn to use stims & ruby bliel. Also eating some Vayerbok will give you another +25 to block and reduce the shots that hit you. I think of it like this...each shot miss is one less heal I have to do.
