John, grow up.

This guy is simply asking for help and grinded his jedi the way the devs made available. He never said Uber, just asked for pointers. Son in closing, please let's all quit flaming each other and offer some help to OUR OWN COMMUNITY regardless of how long a player has been a part of it.

Err... i dont know why you have the impression i want to be an uber jedi,

thats not what i desire at all, i just want to enjoy the game as much as possible, the reason for this post was for any constuctive advice on helping me do this, not to annoy the older jedi about the length of time my grind has taken.

Hi everyone,

I unlocked jedi 3 weeks ago after playing the game for just over a year and a half. I felt a great sense of acheivement and began grinding imediately, after 2 weeks of solid grinding I acheived full template( def 4340, Mls, Enh 4002, Heal 4000). Now i find my game has changed dramatically.

In the last week i have been killed4 times and 1 drawby BH's which i feel i am either doing some thing wrong or need more experience.

Details of my BH experiences to date:

  • 1st- MBH/CM, being my first BH fight i was nervous, but it introduced me to my new life as ajedi

  • 2nd - MBH/Rifles, with this fight i tried to give my best with the little experience i had, i was forced to use a health crystal and holo, after a lengthy battle we decided on a draw

  • 3rd - MBH/ Rifes(i think), while recieving a inspiration buff a BH ran into the cantina with droid where we battled for a while, i actually felt i was doing well, i had destroyed a couple of droids and had the BH on low health a few times when suddenly the BH from my 2nd encounter ran in and was also attacking me, only thing i could do was run, but the enevitable happened they caught me - dead

  • 4th - MBH/Rifles Well.... this was a little more interesting, while waiting for a shuttle i was suddenly attacked, i had time to make 1 heal, then i was dead. i was shocked. when i reviewed my combat log the BH had hit me 6 times and missed 2 hits in the same time it had taken me to make 1 heal, the Bh claimed he was on speed buffs and pups, but i have never seen fire come so quickly

  • 5th - lol, i can't give any info on this encounter as i wasn't there, i had logged out in a starport, only to find when i was already in the cloner, no record on combat log, just loss of xp

I know one way to counter this is to reduce visability, but i then find there is not much content in the game for me. I look forward to BH encounters as its part of the progession of my game.

I would greatly apprieciate any constructive advice or suggestions

Thanks

One, slight, problem might be your template. that x3xx line in defener, if you're not going to master, is pretty useless, IMO. You might consider changing that, possible adding force armor (that's what I did). The force cost really isn't that bad, as long as you have a good /channelforce macro running.

Im not flaming him for how he got his jedi all i said it makes me sick that anyone can get a jedi full temp in 2 weeks its a big slap in the face for all older jedi. and as i said it took me 6 month + to get the saber I have now it takes time only the strong will be true jedi.

1st step is always preventing visibility... but once you're been hunted... there is no longer a point to avoiding the inevitable.

- Foods (This is just as important as it was PRE CURB)

- Blob Candy- +185 Action Regeneration for ~1 Hour

- Spiced Tea - +185 Mind Regeneration for ~1 Hour

- Bofa Treat - +185 Health Regeneration for ~1 Hour (Optional)

- Pikatta Pie - +50 to Dodge incoming attacks ~ 15 minutes

- Pica Thundercloud - +100 Ranged Defense ~ 15 minutes

- Booster Blue - +20% Hitpoints /+20% Action Regeneration / +20% Mind Regeneration / -20% Health Regeneration

- Rancor Aid - Immunity to snares for 1 minute - 15 Filling

- Buffs

- Force Speed - +20 Points of Speed ~ 12 minutes

- Force Aura - Debating of actual purpose - Increases the amount an attacker MISSES you

- Force Infusion - Infusion of health for about a minute (This helps alot with the DOT stacking CMs)

- Force Valor - Increases the +Block+ potential of a ranged weapon firing at you

- Force Armor - When Aura and Valor miss

The biggest thing you have to worry about is the Armor Break sliced energy layered armor clad BH's. Reduces the effectiveness from 40% increase in damage to 10% increase in damage (100-200 pts of Damage added to base)

If you have a Bounty Hunter that seems on top of his game the only thing I can recommend you run. If you're not afraid to die, look upon it as a learning experience to better your skill for the next bounty hunter that pulls your mission.

Use the warm-up / cool-down timers for different attacks to your advantage. If they are wearing Ranged arms, run to them Armor break them and then commencing a Improved Saber Body Hit + Improved Power attack combination. You'll be pleasantly surprised how well this makes a BH try to run and attempt to kite you out of your range. If and when this happens (And it WILL happen), simply snare / root them back before they get out of your range. If you're using the cooldown timers on 2 different attacks heavily and you are snared/rooted, simply press escape to cancel any queud or stored commands, and hit them with Force Suppression or Force Wave.

Another thing is Force Management -- It is impossible to keep up with the damage by using just Advanced Force heal, Pack Ruby Bliel and Stimpack Enhancers when you're in dire straights. Also, use Synsteak to reduce the amount of damage they are doing for a short while (Enough time to commence an escape plan). Some nights you will have a bunch of easy Bounty Hunters come after you... while the next night you may have the best bounty hunter on you -- the best thing is to avoid the better bounty hunters because they've most likely got more experience on how to deal with each specific build.

It's all about know your foe's weakness and using it to your advantage. An example of this would be:

A Bounty Hunter shows up talking all sorts of trash and he's buffed and you're in your house or somewhere he can't get a TEF on you... simply wait him out... Wait for his food buffs and doctor buffs to drop out... Then start on him if you have the courage to do so... Remember... you can make the decision to stand and fight or run. Personally, I'm 59 - 5 since unlocking and I use the same things I've mentioned above... if you're having more problems, I can discuss other things with you personally via Voice Comms or Emails... which ever you prefer.

I would say drop to Defender 0040. Your Force Aura will be great for your defenses. The 4xxx line of Defender is nice, but consider just getting some BE clothes with melee/ranged defense and some food/drink to boost Melee Defense (forget the name). Your x3xx line probably isn't doing much.

Stick with MLS for damage output.

Put the skill points you got back from Defender into Enhancer, so you have 4402 - and get Improved Force Armor. This will help stop a fair amount of damage, however be warned that it will chew up your Force a bit, too.

Your new definite skills would be: MLS, 0040 Defender, and 4402 Enhancer.

With the remaining 19 points, you could put them into Healer in two places:

First, you could try 4030 Healer, which will give you the basic Force Sap - which will mess with your opponent's regen rates. You will also get Improved Force Shock which makes them more susceptible to your state attacks sticking.

Alternatively, you can get 4003 Healer, which will give you Stop Bleeding, Cure Disease, and Cure Poison. Might be nice for those CM's, but the question is weighing lowering their state defenses and Sap versus curing poison, disease, and stopping bleeding.

Just some thoughts.

Your Aura/Force Armor will be your main defenses - keep them fired up and protecting you. Force Armor lasts a fairly long amount of time. Get BE clothes to add to your melee/ranged defense. Take that ranged or melee defense food/drink when needed to supplement your defenses.
