Seriously, I know many of us wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if it didn't mean losing a character I've played for 2 years. Also Jedi are not the 1.5x stronger that people claim. Add in lag, LD kills, and bugs... I'm sorry to say you need to come up with a different solution.

I believe Tanks had a great thread going about a "Blue Glowey" system. Even seemed reasonable. If I remember correctly, once a Jedi gets killed by BH X amount of times instead of Permadeath, they would be Blue Glowey for a few days or weeks (not sure on time limit). As Blue Glowey they would only be able to be seen by other Jedi and could not affect the world in any realistic way. So no checking harvies, piloting ships, killin npc's, etc.. just cruising around able to chat in guildchat and the like.

More like a penalty box than a permadeath. Heck, I'm a Jedi and I'd support that. But take away the millions of credits, 2 pa halls full of stuff, 100+ badges and 2 years worth of gameplay... no way any reasonable person would agree to that. Also, if you weren't around back then, Jedi didn't have lots either. Your Main character never changed, he was never carrying a saber or using the force.

I commend you for actually saying that it should go both ways. But thats exactly why it won't happen. BH'ers who spent millions on Mandalorian Armor, ADK kits, and spiffey carbines would never let this happen.

They would leave the game, the Jedi would leave the game, and the community would take a major hit. Persaonlly, I think instead of blaming Jedi/BH for the hatred and constant complaining we should be placing it where it belongs. The Devs.

It's like watching Jerry Springer. The cheating boyfriend gets appluase then the 2 women fight each other instead of both teaming up and creaming the guy. Boggles the mind...

Well this much needs to be said... today, of all days, is not the time to bring up even the notion of this issue especially in the Jedi/BH forums.

With the wonderful new nerf's coming down the pipe all the BH'ers are frothing at the mouths screaming "LOL! J00 Got PwNed! Cry more Jeedai!!"

Jedi are a little bit "sensitive" today to say the least.

I understand the original poster had thought he was soliciting honest opinions from us and BH'ers, but now is not the time. So not to flame him, but bad timing right now. We've been nerfed repeatedly since pub 16 and now it's about to get worse.

BH'ers need not worry about Perma-Death, the Jedi are about to take care of that themselves as many hit the ultimate PermaDeath button, "cancel".

For now, let this issue die (along with perma-death) wait a few months and see what the state of Jedi is then. Because honestly, at this point a 0100 Carbineer will be able to take out a full temp Jedi night if he uses his snares correctly. Dirty pool is an understatement.

Nice try, but unfortunately the only thing that is going to get Jedi/BH together to suggest real fixes to this issue is when the Dev's piss off both those communities at the sametime. Till then it will be "Pwned by the Dev's J00 Newb!"
