The devs didn't do anything to "eliminate" it, just provided the ability for those BH who wished to avoid hunting their faction to do so.

same difference,it was changed to give people the abilty to avoid hunting same faction

out of all the things i said in my post all you do is pick up on a small discrepancy like that when it was blatantly obvious whati meant,as far as im concerned theres no excuse for same faction hunting anymore,oh and for your nitpicking you're forbidden from posting anything but smilies for the next24 hours

my guild is at war right now with an imperial guild,i went into theed solo and obviously i eventually got killed,i autocloned in theed (didnt get a chance to click pre-designated) so im medtitating in the cloner just out of site of the sea of red and a rebel walks in and attacks me,my first reaction was "sh!t im gonna get ganked in the guildwar and this BH is gonna get the DB" so i rooted and ran out of the cloner and across the river..when i was satisfied i wasnt being followed by the imperial guild i stopped ate my food and killed the BH,now as much as i love being attacked by a BH because of the excitement it brings im not altogether happy at being attacked by a rebel,the devs changed the terminals to eliminate this so there isnt much of an excuse for it now
i know people can say well i wanna participate in the GCW but im a BH ill hunt who i want..my response to that is if you hunt rebel BH ill see to it that you DONT get to participate in the GCW,ill see that rebel cities ban you and no-one will group you for PvP or PvE and you'll be forced to go imperial which is exactly what you should have been in the first place if you're attacking same faction

Fair enough, but BH are exactly that, BOUNTY HUNTERS. they are paid mercenaries. I.E. go where the money is and work for the highest bidder regardless of faction. You are also free to employ whatever actions you feel neccessary to protect yourself. I.E. your above listed counter measures.

samjack has always been a beast of a tank, pre cu and post cu , he is stil hardcore, just in a different way....i still had a hard time fighting him pre cu 1v1 , i haven't fought him 1v1 post cu, but he can't root or keep with me 1v1 so he can't beat me , but ye again he was one of the best pre cu tanks aswell, so it aint anythign new too me...

As long as they are unguilded or in a BH guild, then I could care less what faction a BH is when they attack me. Now if it's another Imperial guild's BH that comes after me, then I'll have a problem with it...that is after I send him to the cloner. But that hasn't happened yet. Only rebel BHs or they have belonged to a BH guild so far.
As for my BH, the guild I'm in was a BH guild and we same faction hunted. We got more hate tells and whines from fellow imps than we ever did from rebels. Never mind we made it known that we were primarily a BH guild. But once faction became known on the terminals, we have since changed our ways and only hunt neutral and rebel jedi.

I agree with Stryth on this. Nothing dissapoints me more in-game than being in Theed pvping and have a rebel bh attacking you. I think if the BH wants to hunt both factions, why not just go neutral.
