Triplejacko, as a paying customer we should:

1. Accept that the game experience may change during online play,

and

2. Voice our opinions and concerns on the nature of that change.

These two things are NOT mutually exclusive.

I love the use of discrete math(logic) here. Pretty funny. But by logic you should realize that, you can complain and SOE doesn't ever have to do a thing about it. All it really does is fill up the boards with unrest.

As much as I tire of seeing " PETITION FOR A >> insert your playstyle here << ONLY SERVER!!!!! ", I think it is valid for players to come here and voice concerns or complaints, and not entirely fruitless. I can think of a couple of changes that were likely movitated in part or in whole by forum chatter - not all of them necessarily good, IMHO: The CU (whatever else it morphed into, it at least started as an outreach to PvP players on the forum community); Expanded storage limits (was that a big thread or what? I think only Smed's thread is as large); The recentun-nerf of XP gains (althought to be fair, I'll bet the accountants had something to say about that one too).

Those are just a few off the top of my head, but I am quite sure there are many others. Yes, you are right, SOE can ignore us entirely if they choose to. Should they? And shouldn'twe provide them with our feedback - painful as it may be for those of us "just looking for information"on the forums?

that statement means that you may be happy running through the fields on naboo, and then get killed by a giant spider and be upset about the death....thats why the statement "in game" is there. .how can anyone get this confused with being unhappy about the crap soe forces you in this game. Maybe a comprehension reading course is in the future for you? Besides, we are never in the game during most of the major patches that make the game suck.

Ppl always want more and feel others are better off than they are. The rich always want more money, leaders always want more power and so on. Ppl will always think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence till they get there and find it is just as dry and burnt as thiers. Then they will complain about that.

enemy that outnumbers us 29:1. They can't get away from us now!"

Silence is never the answer to any issue, period.

Developers and their supporters that hide behind the caveat that "game play may change online" are simply "copping out" on themselves and the issues. Do the developers have the right to change their intellectual properties as they see fit? Absolutely, but that never means that they don't have an obligation to their customer base. Some issues can't be solved easily, too bad, not acknowledging or confronting them is a bigger crime than the issue itself.

Forums are intended as a measure of feedback from the customer to the producer. Sure they are filled with bad ideas, but it is SOE's obligation to their customers to weed through the ideas, good and bad, to try and find out where the community stands on issues. That means, keep commenting, suggesting, and if need be, complaining.

So we should all be quiet? I really don't agree, and never will. Silence is nothing more than affirmation for bad ideas.

I support the eating of pie.
