Thread: Something Every Jedi Should Swallow, Even Me!

I'm pretty sure "game experience may change during online play" refers to the rating system, and that while the game is rated for a specific age group, encounters with other players online can result in more mature situations. The disclaimer has to do with theintended age of theaudience rather than SOE's consistently poor implementation of ideas. It's an accepted fact that nerfs andbalance issues change the nature of MMOs, but only one mainstreamMMO has had to completely redesign the entire game from scratch more than a year after its release (the CU and SWG). I'm not sore about theCU, but about the compulsive need SOE feels to change every single majoraspect of the game on a monthly basis. I'm also a little irritated thatthey are announcing and releasing another expansion before thelast one is working properly. If SOE was more interested in fixing bugs and balance issues than milking the customer base with a new expansion every 3 months, maybe this game wouldn't be the laughingstockof theindustry.

Triplejacko, as a paying customer we should:

1. Accept that the game experience may change during online play,

and

2. Voice our opinions and concerns on the nature of that change.

These two things are NOT mutually exclusive.

Not true. EQ2 is currently doing it right now, it will be released when it's first expansion comes out.

It sounded off to me so I thought I'd look it up to see if my gut instinct was correct. Brought to you by Dictionary.com:

am·bi·gu·i·ty
n. pl. am·bi·gu·i·ties

  1. Doubtfulness or uncertainty as regards interpretation: “leading a life of alleged moral ambiguity” (Anatole Broyard).

  2. Something of doubtful meaning: a poem full of ambiguities.

Please let me know how that works in regards to what I said.

something you and soe should swallow, ziip,

i have the right to pay or not pay

i have canceled 2 of the 3 accounts that i used to play.

this account gets canceled every other month, because i keep thinking its got to get better, but it doesnt.

we have more bugs now then ever pre cu, we have another bugfilled expansion coming out, but i wont waste my money on, not til i get all my tkm and jedi mabari belts back, the alpha class is mcm which wasnt even in star wars,

this game makes you not wanna log or play, because anything constructive you work hard for and put together, will just get nerfed/taken away on a whim anyway, so why pay, why bother.

They say they value our opinion and try to do what we want... so why should we just shut up?

I love the use of discrete math(logic) here. Pretty funny. But by logic you should realize that, you can complain and SOE doesn't ever have to do a thing about it. All it really does is fill up the boards with unrest.

It says right on the box, "game experience may change during online play."

Even though the box says so, and I agree every time I click yes to login, I too am guilty of wishing things and many published never happened.

This being said, all of the posts asking for this to be changed and that to be changed really need to just stop. There shouldn't be anymore petitions to try and change SOE's mind, because we agree to play this game as is every time we login.

I have been playing the game since June 03' and I have struggled in the last six months to recognize the game I used to play. It's a completely different game for better or worse, and I am going to have to accept the changes I don't agree with, and everyone else should as well.

The sooner we start accepting this the better.
