I don't really believe the initial poster meant any offense to Star Wars. I believe his frustration was directed more at playing a game labeled after an Uber thing, that doesn't live up to the movie.


After a while you can't keep taking a crap in a box, calling it Star Wars, and expecting everyone to keep buying it. We the fans and our passion made Star Wars what it is today. Its time for the developers to start puttng some of there passion back into this game and letting us all play the game we thought we were buying.

They are probably saving the pre CU servers for a year from now to attract players back when the slump comes. Wouldn't that bring you back?

Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.

In the last week or so the general online presence on our server has noticably decreased. And I was told that most ppl were just on holidays during the summer.


We are nearing post-CU lows, if this continiues just 1-2 weeks longer.


Oh, and about the TV series: judging about the quality of the prequel trilogy and Lucas' comment about how the seriesis going to be about record low budget, I forsee "Holiday Special" level lows. Our only hope is, Uncle George will finally retire as a director.


I haven't read much of the fiction written around the SW univers, only the novel to EP III, which is a towering piece of art compared to the movie: extremely well writen. It show what an awesome potential the story of Lucas has, and only highlights how badly he has botched up the prequel episodes. A shame, realy, especially if youconsider that all he would have had to do, was to let some other, more talented directordo the job.

I don't have a good feeling about it either...How can you condense something so massive to a TV show? It was like when he brought Indiana Jones to the small screen...that bombed big time.

Well EQ is an actually good MMORPG and the very first to be popular so its longevity is understandable. A game like SWG, if it wasn't Star Wars, it would be gone already.

idk hard to tell. On radiant it is alot more vacant, cnet is empty and theed has max 15 people in it that arent pvping. Dantooine on a good day has 20-30. I know 5 of my good friends who bought this game without even knowing i played, they all pretty much quit within 3 months because they were full templats in under a week and pvp was getting boring. Although pvp is healthier than ever in Radiant so I'm not sure. But the newbs for the most part have already fizzled out, maybe 40% of them remain, and vets are dropping at a decent pace too.... Unless frs is uber or this ToOW is awesome(doubt it will be) i dont see this game going anywhere.

come on guys that won't happen it shoulldn't star wars is a never ending market people are making books and all that swg can add coruscant which i hope they do

they can add the twi'lek home planet all the other crap planets nobody knows about and do quests that way the fact is people will be making books and more stuff to add on to star wars and then swg will get more ideas from there and make it a bettter game i hope swg doesn't stop and it just gets better i'm having a hell of a time playing it they just need to make it a liltle bit better i hope they do and as for starwars ending nah imposible its never gonna end they'll keep making more stuff maybe not and episode 7 or whatever but they will make more starwars things.

Are you aware of the studio's reputation with how they handled Asheron's Call2? This is the same studio who will be handling your precious MiddleEarth-mmo and the much anticipated Dungeon&Dragon-mmo.


I for one will NOT be purchasing either of those two products based on the poor implementation with Asheron's Call2. These studios haven't a clue how reputation will carry over into a this new market and what SOE is doing is sealing their fate with furture products.


Hmm...isn't SOE doing DC Comics mmo too? Going to stear far away from that one aswell.


Blizzard and Cryptic are the two studios currently worth investing in based on their top notch quality, customer support, and communication in deatling EVERYTHING that get's nerfed/fixed.

Lucas has a solid reputation of misleading the media on his adventures with his movies. I wouldn't be surprised to see a completely new 3 part series produced in teh same fassion asLord of the Rings. That process had brought serious attention into shooting 3 films at once while reserving tiime for post production work - one of the greatest ventures manifested in our time.


I would believe Lucas is taking this EXACT same roll with the next series of StarWars films.
