Acrually does. Because if this game is no longer under SOE but Lucas Arts.

Facts will be what SOE and LA finally tell us when they give us the time of day. Personally, I don't *think* that they will add Jedi as a starter profession, but since the promo does not specifically state that, it is not fact yet. The fiction is that SOE is improving their communication skills.

What's the beef? You people read too much into this stuff. It says, take onany of30 different professions. It does not say start as one of thirty professions. Just a point of order. This is exactly how rumors persist, when something is taken out of context and distorted. I have shown the proof, now try and discredit the obvious. Go ahead try.

Point of order... you haven't shown any proof. It doesn't say the number of starter professions. Also, if it says 30 professions, what 2 are getting eliminated? Aren't there 32 + Jedi + Politician + Shipwright + Pilots?
Or am I reading too much into stuff again? 
PS: Devs... feel free to debunk all the rumors at anytime.

after some investigating, i found out that the strat guide for the starter kit is around 304 pages....thats one gigantic strat guide

If they do implement something like that they can count on a lot more subscriptions going to the cancelation department because those that ground their way there will not put up with it after all they went through and then brand new folks coming in get it handed to them on a platter.

I've seen listings for the strat guide, but nothing to indicate that Jedi is a starter profession. Did you find something on the contents of the book?

Can't remember where i read this but my understanding of the starter pack is this...........
You buy the starter pack and it is like an offline demo of the game , where you can try out proffs, explore and do some quests. I believe you can reach level 30 and thats it, if you want to continue you have to subscribe to the game.
Nothing too sinister about this, in fact i think its a great idea if it encourages new players. I havent heard about Jedi being a starting proff though, i just think people are over-reacting to nothing.
