Thread: Any Offical Word From SOE?
yeah theres some new from SOE.... here it is
highlight this ----> (dont hold your breath)
The mis-type was in the description provided on Amazon.com. Tiggs replied to that specifically, saying the listing was a mistake and would be removed.
What she didn't say was that the product was real, just the description is wrong. And now that the Devs appear to be avoiding questions regarding this Starter Kit, it's fueling the rumor mill around the whole Jedi as a starting profession from someone's friend's uncle.
Tiggs or any Dev could put the whole thing to rest by taking 5 minutes to say what the starter kit was and confirm that Jedi won't be a starter profession.
do u REALLY think they will give you guys a proper answer to that?
working as intended you know...all i say is:
our frs system is so much fun lol and the crystal drops work perfectly
NOT
i honestly dont believe them a single word anymore untill i have SEEN it myself with my OWN eyes...not beeing misstold by some csrs that dont really have anything to do with decitions or coding...after all their just puppets anyways...
I don't know that it is official but it looks like amazon now has both a proper updated product description and box art that make sense.
The Starter Pack description says it includes "The Empire Divided" and "Jump to Lightspeed" combined for $20.00. It does not include the last two expansions. Listings for separate copies of these two versions as well as copies of "The Total Experience" seem to be disappearing. If TTE ($30.00)is no longer available and the the only way to get RotW willbe the $25.00 digital download, the price for a new player to get all three just went up.
This makes perfect sense for business. The new customer has JTL so they can choose toadd either RotW or ToOW whenever theydecide to shell out the cash. Neither one is dependent on the other.
Whether there will be any changes to the game when this starter pack is officially available is still a mystery. Why the starter kit has to wait till Nov. 22 iscurious. Perhaps it just takes that long to get it packaged and shipped. Perhaps it is simply to coincide with theCD release of Episode III. Then again maybe something is happening to the gameNov. 22, just in time for holiday shopping.
If SOE really wanted a new infusion of players into the game it might not be a bad idea to just give the Starter Pack away with the CD release of the movie. That's what I would do if I were them. All they would have to do it throw an extra CD into the packaging. It doesn't cost them anything... it is just software afterall and it's already written and paid for. They would still make plenty of money from the monthly fees and expansions and would hook starwars enthusiasts that would never have considered the game otherwise.
This is just conjecture, but just as valid as the paranoia going around that Jedi will become a starter profession.
look here i found this post , they fix it and for the first 30 lvl i think they refer to quest based stuff for new players

So what if you can select jedi as your starting prof. Imagine how much of a pain that would be. Still would have to deal with the whole visibilty thing. Not to mention i'm sure the bounty hunters are gonna love CL 10 jedi on the terminals. Everyone needs to stop worrying about who's gonna be the next jedi. It's gotten easier to do ever since the game came out.
Well, it will be in the stores for Black Friday, which could be a plus. I wonder if there will be any ad push dollars behind it? If it ends up being on sale for the Black Friday weekend for something like $15, it would be a good possible avenue for some fresh blood.
I just can't help but wonder why it's such a "big secret". Seems like it would be good for the game, it doesn't include ToOW... so what are they afraid we'll get mad about? Or is it just that SOE can't help itself but try to keep things hidden? ![]()

Lucas Arts will be taking over SWG on November 22nd. Prima Strategy Guide has already been printed.
SOE does not know about since it is a Lucas Arts only game. Take your assumptions there bye bye SOE.
Hello Lucas Arts.
