its definatley broken, best u can do with a macro is 2 secs between hits....been that way since cu. no modifiers of anytype are working including the mls modifiers...I know, I am mls.

With improved Force Speed since publish 24 I am able to hit every once a second if I alternate saber hit and leg or head hit using my pre CURB lightsaber, the body/head/leg hit has a fixed cooldown timer so it cannot be done every once a second. Before publish 24 I was unable to do that without a cooldown bypass bug which I do not know how to use.

I'm not attacking any faster as a lighsaber master than I was attacking as paddy. (when i got 2 specials to alternate so basicly at ls 0102). I don't think that's intended.

So you're saying, but do an actual test and post the results here so we all can see what type of test you did, how you set up your testand what you found. Then we can draw the real conclusions.

that is wrong. Modded speed works for all attacks. The reason people think it works only for saber hit, and not for the other attacks, is that saber hit is a simple attack and as such it has a very small delay factor (close to 1). Advanced attacks, such as headhit/leghit, have higher delay factors, around 1.5.

zargon, you are wrong because your scenario defeats the dps stats. average damage per second is an invalid stat at the moment. when the devs admittedly said it was broke pretty much said it all. your modifier is what the average attack should be and most modifier sabersare less than 2 seconds. so how can you say that 2 seconds is the norm when your saber stats plainly show u that its less than that. here's an experiment. macro head hit and leg hit and use lurid mushroom pie and look at your combat log....after that let the pie wear off and do the hits again.....post your results.

For all who still think it's broken, read the tests I posted a while ago here

I did several more tests after that, and they all showed the same thing, that modded speed works.

Please tell me what in those tests are wrong because I can't find it...

Just so you know this is a global problem (meaning it affects all professions). Reason why a lot of non-Jedi don't notice is because they can slice/pu their weapons with speed. Jedi do not have that option.....I think that it was seriously intended to be this way lol.

The reason I say 2 seconds is what you should get is that all special attacks have a DELAY FACTOR, typically around 1.5

If you hit every 2 seconds with headhit/leghit then your modded speed is around 2/1.5 = 1.3.

I am not sure if this will help much but here is a screenshot of a short combat log fighting a level 80 Blackscale on Kashyyyk, only buff I had on was improved Force Speed and Blob candy and Spiced tea. I was not wearing any speed clothing either.

Well, from that shot it looks like your attacking pretty fast, even 1 second after a headhit there. It's difficult though, because there's only a few attacks, and it's tricky to seperate pure modded speed from force speed as they do some different things, and some (possibly) same.

It's very good that you cycled more than 2 attacks before going back to the first though, my tests showed that you need to cycle at least 3 different attacks, to use a fast speed efficiently.

They work.

It is just that you cannot notice the one-tenths of a second+50 in tapes makeswith the naked eye.

My modifed without clothes is - 33% of weapon speed 1.83 to 1.22 or - 33%

My modifed with +50 in tapes (general and weapon) is - 41% of weapon speed 1.83 to 1.08 or 41%

The differnce is an addtional - 8% off your weapon speed.

This for me comes to

1.22 without tapes

1.08 with tapes

or .14 secondsdiffernence, which you cannot see with the naked eye.

Also if you use speed buffs and such the difference is even smaller, because you taking a % of a smaller number so the overall gain is less.

Way to test is this forumla (macro): with no buffs

/special attack

/pause modified speed x special attack speed;

/special attack 2;

/pause modified speeed x special attack speed;

/special attack 3;

/pause modified speeed x special attack speed;

What you will see is that when when you use your modified speed the macro will run smooth (ie. not skip shots and fire back to back)

However, the moment you gounder your modified speed you will skip shots and fire some back to back. (meaning a problem with you times)

If tapes did not work then using modified speed would make the macro jumble.

(test in yavin or low lag area)

Hope this helps end this debate, I have tested this many times.

The shroom gives a combat haste buff just like a doc's buff. It has nothing to do with your modified speed on your character window, so not good to use it for tests.

QFE!!!

This is so true if you read any of these posts this is the one to read. Specials are not supposed to fire every second.
