Thread: Is MLS REALLY worth it?
Is MLS really worth it? .....No, and i'll explain...
Saber base speed 2.5 as an example:
LS x4x4 no tapes : mod speed 1.62 sec
LS x4x4 +50 tapes : mod speed 1.48 sec
LS Masterno tapes : mod speed 1.49 sec
LS master +50 tapes : mod speed 1.46 sec

I believe so. The speed and accuracy alone make it worth it, but the ability to do a ranged nockdown is without paralell. That alone has saved me from many a bounty hunter. Drop them while on the run, and just keep running.
But it also means kiteing is going to be hard. You can only use one saber throw. And if you keep using Advanced Saber throw, you won't be able to plan a KD attack when you need it the most.
Who said anything about kiting? I'm talking about running and screaming PLEASEDONTKILLMEEEEEEEEE!!!
If you're going to fight, stand and fight. If you're going to kite, you picked the WRONG damn profession.

Say that to the MDefenders who are snared and don't have any type of lunge attack to reach a BH who has CM. That LS throw is all they got going for it.
What does that have to do with kiting?
...It means the strategy for dealing with BH who snare with CM. And as a MLS has only one default attack for long range hits. Means you'll be KD'ing over and over, then when the right time to KD is there, you've already used the KD and got to wait for the timer.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Kiting was when you stay out of range for the opponent's attack while throwing a ranged attack of your own.
In which case, Jedi is a pisspoor kiting set of professions. It IS however great for knocking your persuer down and running like hell to escape.

get some tapes and the only difference is an ranged KD
also if LS speed is bugged x4x4 is as fast as master (apart from ranged KD)
LS x4x4 no tapes: accuracy 157 = 471 vs jedi + aura
LS x4x4 +50 tapes :accuracy 207 = 473 vs jedi + aura
LS master no tapes : accuracy 227 = 474 vs jedi + aura
LS master +50 tapes: accuracy 277 = 475 vs jedi + aura
using LS with620 -720 + 150 ele.
IMO Master LS Vs LS x4x4 : get some tapes and you're only weaker for the loss of a ranged KD (powers xxx2)
That's an exellent breakdownof skill modifiers, thankyou.
Now if only I could get my bank accound above 1.2 mil I could follow that advice.

I was originally MLS, then respecced to 0404, but going back to MLS.
At first I didn't see a big difference, but after awhile I realized at MLS, BHs and other things in the SWG died much quicker when I was MLS.
If I remember correctly you lose a total of 70 accuracy and 40 speed, this counts both Generic and Saber mods.
Obviously you could get +50 in both by stacking all 4 types of mods, to really cut your loses, then suppliment that with accuracy food. If you do go only tier 4 in LS then I suggest you do the same. I had so many fatal shots miss BHs that would have put them out, which drug on fights and made them last way longer than they should have because I didn't use food.
When a CM puts the speed debuff on me, I swing for like 47 speed, which seems like an eternity in PvP.
Currently the Master Box of LS doesn't really give you much, and if you are like me who likes to load up on his damage in pvp (like armor break, KD, headhit, powerattack) the master saberthrow hampers that by constantly knocking your opponent down, and if they are out of melee range, the saberthrow timer is killer, so you end up missing attacks. If you root or snare, then do as I said, you do much more damage, in a much quicker amount of time, giving you a quicker victory- when you hit.
From what I've seen, LS speed is actually working, I know a couple MLS with pre-CU LS that hits once a second now.
