to follow your line of thinking ... i pay my $15 same as jedi, but how come i don't get two character slots for my account? i have as much right to a second character slot as a jedi. there must be something else going on that warrants them getting a free character whilst i have to pay $30 a month for two.

The second character slot is a REWARD for completing the Padawan trials and becoming a Jedi... from what I understand, it's a necessarily-carried-over feature from before publish 9 when people unlocked their FS-slot... their existing character didn't become Force Sensitive - the second slot was the Force-sensitive character.
