Thread: Playing Jedi as jedi should be played ... Astonishment !!
And what change is that exactly that will discourage people from dueling in starports. I have not seen one proposed yet. When one is proposed we can discuss it. The issue under discussion now is the snare nerf which wil render not only jedi but any melee and pistol based combat templates obsolete. Now take your high horse and go beat it somewhere else.

Yarki, I really think you have missed my point. Maybe I explained myself badly, in which case I apologise.
My post was NOT about any nerfs that may be happening now, or soon, or never.
My post was about how we, as the ever-increasing jedi popluation, react to changes to the game.
I am not on any "high horse".
I simply believe that there are more constructive waysto discusschanges than toinstantly flame and/or insult the Devs and other players who disagree.
For example, there was one post recently that mentioned a "rumour I heard from someone". The post in question received hundreds of replies. It went from "I heard this rumour ..." to posts which said "the Devs have no right to do this and they are total xxxx and i'm cancelling my account".
I simply believe two things:
- reacting to rumours serves no purpose. Most of the time rumours are simply ...well, rumours !
- being impolite, rude, aggressive, threatening, unpleasant to people who say things you do not agree with achieves nothing. Example: "Now take your high horse and go beat it somewhere else". Why say that? Why not say "I do not agree" ?
Hey pal, that's the entire reason most Jedi players don't get it. The Devs did not want you questing with your Jedi, or using it just to kill mobs. Jedi is meant to be a PVP class, the second character is for you to quest and do everything you want without having to PVP. That is the reason they keep making it difficult, they don't want you questing with your Jedi. When you log in with your Jedi you should be ready to fight other players, that is the reason they were put in game.

Well, whatever, everyone has their own way of playing, but here is my personal way :
I have been jedi for a year now.
I have NEVER shown a jedi tag of any kind.
I have NEVER duelled where non-jedi can see me duelling.
I have NEVER worn my jedi robes where any non-jedi can see me, with the exception of BH. When they declare themselves, I do the same.
When I read all this complaining and moaning and groaning and flaming I feel very sad for jedi and for the game as a whole.
So, I if I take this forum to be an example, I know that at least 90% of jedi are only interested in being uber and/or moaning and whining and showing off and waving their glowstick.
I am not saying that my way is the only way. But even darkside jedi are not interested in showing off in front of non-jedi.
This is an appeal to the remaining 10% of players who play the role of jedi ... a raise of hands ... I know there are a few of you out there ... just say "aye" ...
