ha exactly, so shouldnt jedi not have special kind of clothing that gives defence like armor? or something just to equal it outaa bit

I've seen Jedi do some pretty incredible stuff in the Clone series to. I would like to be able to have those abilities while we're asking for armor.

they should make some jedi specific armors.... dooku actually wore armor even tho it didnt seem like armor... it was.... Darth Vader wore armor but thats irrelivent cuz his has to stay unique

You talking about the silly jacket he was wearing in AOTC with the gigantic shoulder pads? hehe. That didn't look Ubese to me, it looked simply like a style of clothing.

seriously though, pre-CU, there were bugs where armorsmiths could make personal shield generators with lightsaber resist back when lightsaber damage was called 'lightsaber' rather than heat, cold, acid, electricity, kinetic, and energy.
What's your point? He was talking about post CU, not pre CU. Did you know that Probots were the bestdroids to use when the game first launched? Or thatwhen you died, you had torun to get to yourcorpse? And that Tantel also had LS resist on it to?/rolleyes
The comment was hypothetical. Noone was talking about pre- nor post-CU, but about SWG vs movie comparison in general. I've been playing since the first day of beta3, so yeah I know about them. Did you know if we used to run into a wall or tree, we get knocked down?

don't forget that luke had only just started his template then, he blatantly had a ranged template with carbines, pistols and rifles, with ranged accuracy and speed unlocked, but only novice ls. for pvp a noob jedi is way better off in armour using guns than just his crappy training saber, hence the stormie armour.
btw, vader didn't seem too happy to be wearing armour when the emporor pwned him with adv lightning, did he? you want that happening to you?

bear with me i am not a verry good typest or speller
but here r my 2 cents about jedi and armor
soe has sed that they folled the rpg books in the makeing of the game right? well in the rpg books they have jedi/sith armor
Jedi armor: book, power of the jedi sourcebook,pg 55, "JEDI BATTLE ARMOR" reads as follows:
during the sith war, jedi knights faced armies of sith armed with lightsabers of their own. in an effort to protect themselfs from the dark fury of their foes, the greatest jedi armorers developed battle armor that was the best possible porction against a lightsaber blow.each set of jedi armor had to be speciakky designed for the jedi who wore it. even a custom set of jedi armor is still un wieldy enough to restrict a jedi's movement.
now i say
1. make jedi armor a quest in the new exp pack that comes out
2. as to the restriction of move ment just like with other profs have a armor hendrinces(i know spl).
3. make armor only avable to "knights"as part of the new frs
4. have it only def vs lightsaber.
sith armor: book the dark side sourcebook,pg,60 "DARK ARMOR" reads as follows:
those who fall to the dark side know that their greatest enemies will be jedi. any given jedi might be a match for the darksider, so to tip the scalse of battle the darksider needs an edge-a way to withstand damage better then his jedi opponent can. for many, armor provides the best advantage.
now i say,

If they wanted to get ideas from the EU, it seems that some type of armor could be designed using cortosis. If my memory serves correct, that was a mineral/metal that lightsabers could not penetrate or at least not very well.

I've always wanted for my Jedi to be able to wear anakin's outfit in Ep2. It's friggin sweet.
I so can't wait for the Dark Knight Robes to come back.......oh please, let us customize our own colors. Like we use to be able to do with the pre-cu compo.

If your curious about another reference to "jedi armor" then you should check out the old comic series "Tales of the Jedi : Dark Lords of the Sith" #1.
It includes a captionspecifically identifying the jedi Qrrrl Toq as aNazzar Prince and builder of Jedi Armor. Throughout the series the jedi wear what appears to be light leather like armor similar to feudal japaneese samuria pieces.
Of course, this EU series is timelined at " four millenia before the birth of Luke Skywalker" and deals with the exploits of Ulric Qel-Droma and Exar Kun.....
