Thread: Hybrid template stealth nerf : Now With Macros!
And as for stuffing hybrids up the bottom, why are the a problem? Well here's why hybrids are a problem, pure and simple:
Because, having REGULAR SKILLS ARE BETTER THAN JEDI SKILLS
The way you stop people prefering hybrid builds is to make the Jedi boxes worth having rather than a pile of bugged cr@p.
Make being a full template padawan mean something rather than just wasting 250 skillpoints on a 2nd rate Doc/Swords with a glowing gimped weapon.
Honestly, you just have to loose faith with those running the game when they do stuff like this.

It looks like Jedi can use most of their passive powers including Cloak, Heals, Force Speed, and Channel Force. The powers that are now restricted are those from Weilder and Enhancer trees such as Lightning, Choke, Suppression, Wave, Force Drain, etc. Basically all Offensive powers have been restricted.
not to rant but...
kick a@@ corospondant job here..... have you even started bit^&*$ at the devs about it? or like all the other nerfs in the last patch, do you just expect everyone to take it?
this game has gone downhill so fast, im in shock...

this is splendid. 6 months of grinding my template out. master powers/master defender with a two handed Sith sword rather than a saber...melee hitgave me a devastating 3-400 pts of damage, and my rifles and carbines helped in sticky situations where melee was not practical...like fighting against those long range metal monkey arms...and now I'm stuck, er snared if you will.
So much for originality and versatility. Non-jedi toons rejoice...and enjoy your broken game.
Snare this.

Hmmm, well, are the innate abilities working? Such as if you were a Master Swordsman/Master Defender?
This is not a flame towards anyone in here, I'm simply going to spell out why they (SOE) initiated this stealthnerf. It's simple, grinding padawan. They will no longer be able to use any offensive skill to take on a BH. There is your reasoning. It's one more nod to the BH community and one more nerf to us. This patch is a total mess. Every spot has HUGE holes. It will take them months to sort out all the problems this one has caused, and guess who is on the bottom of that priority list. This further pushes off any 'real' fixes to us. Whatever. Getting very very fed up with the nonsense. 2 months for this patch to come out and it still riddled with bugs?!?!?
Should have released all the space stuff months ago when that WAS working. Then slowly introduced some of the other features over time, say one a week. And then fix the bugs in each patch. DUMB just plain old dumb.

And a quick note to the Devs, this was a pointless change. It's an inconvenience. It's mildly frustrating, that is all. What bothers me is the fact that you would take the time to try to ruin one of the last remaining creative parts of the game. Just as people are starting to try to get away from FOTM templates and try something new, you throw in achange like this to discourage it. A hybrid template will not be over-powering, it will just be more fun for people trying it. So I'd appreciate it if you'd save me the trouble of writing these macro's and just change it back.
(yeah, yeah, I know they don't care, but I thought I'd add it anyway)
Man that is a statement that could be applied to so many things about SWG now.
Hey Dev's please go play just about any LA games with the name Jedi in it. I can run around blasting stuff with almost any blaster in game and still weild force powers... and you change SWG so we can't... or rather inconvience those that want to....
What a bunch of hosers, eh!

I am full template master power jedi without any lightsaber skills.
I spend millions to perfect my carbine skills and weapons.
This is a sad day for me.
I never liked the melee class in swg from day 1 of swg retail. I mastered almost all
ranged professions but any melee. I dont know how to play melee and dont care.
I was playing my jedi as totally ranged profession. I was very happy about it.
I never cared about changes in swg and I always find a way to adobt but this
one seems really bad for me.

Ah, much thanks, I'd heard of using the alarm function, but had no idea how to do it. Definitely a better solution than the tell. Thanks for the correction about the ;'s too,an important oversight on my part.

suggestion for the /tell at the end of the macro
you can use this instead:
/alarmaddin 0 0 Lightening Ended!;
This will add an alarm that gives the message on screen (in this case "Lightening Ended!"). The down side is it creates an audible ping (I believe 4 pings) that might drive you a bit nuts if you play with the sound on (I fight with it off!), but it's a lot better and less prone to lag than /tell
NOTE: For people not familiar with macro's, all lines of a macro need to end with ;
Some lines in Penguinzx's don't but it's just an oversight cos he's probably as p**sed as me and typing fast!
