After cu MANY left & the server (sunnrunner) was not the same.

Grouping ended GCW (which is a part of the game).

Im not all that attached to the "Starwars" just because its Starwars.

Im gonna ride it out a lil , but seriously thinking of cancelling my jedi.

Its dying it aint dead yet. But you just have to look at some of the less populated servers to see where this game is heading. In the old days the bazaars were full, the cities had people in them, cantinas occassionally werent just full of afk bots.

Now they are talking of merging the smaller servers, planets are filled with condemed structure, shops are empty. And unfortunately the fun is out of the game. They said they were balancing and then they make the BH/CM the ultimate template, they said they were taking out the combat que kind of combat and then made spin grouping the ultimate way to get xp. People will keep playing sure but they will find it harder and harder to find a reason to log on till there are only 5 servers left running and there is a new patch every 6 months or so. The SWG2 will come out everyone will believe the hype sign up and SWG will die.

I also think though that while SoE has made thier share of massive blunders, an equal portion of responsibility falls on the players shoulders as well. it's easy to hide behind the consumer/product theory, but really, in a weird way...they've given the populace what they wanted. People couldn't enjoy a GCW era game without all the usual bells and whistles of a traditional Star Wars game. So here we are, with the Jedi and Bounty Hunters in the mess they're in. Witha blend of players fromdie-hard star wars addicts, power gamers, casual gamers, role players, and l33t haxxor punks. As people cried for more, they slowly and surely gave it to us. And now here we are.

How would you repair the damage done, and still remain profitable? That's the question SoE is probably asking themselves right now....then again....maybe not

If they keep messing with stuff like they have been, then yes I think it's at it's end. Or at least at it's end for me.

The game is dying and this might be the last nail for it. Garva's comments alone I'm sure added to the cancells today.

All you have to do is look around or speak to players who have been around a while to know that the towns and npc cities where packed like another poster stated. Now, lol you'd be lucky to find a person in a med center or cantina. Dant miining outpost is the exception of course, I often wonder when there if this is all the players left on the server.

Yes, I do think it is, or will soon be, coming to an end. I've cancelled 5 out of 6 accounts now, and this one is about done...I don't think I'll be resubscribing when it runs out. I have lost any and all hope in SOE, and therefore will not play the game anymore.

It is for me, I am just biding my time until D&D online comes up, I just can't deal with the amount of changes SOE makes, Every new patch is like a completly different game, if they can't get it right by now, then most likely they never will. It's time to see if someone else can.

The game is not, and is at it's end.

The game's real community is dying, noone new will be coming, that's almost guranteed.

The game will continue to lose players, eventually NPC vendors will have to be instituted if the current trends continue, servers will be merged, and only a tiny cadre ofhard-core players will remain.

But it will continue, for Lucas has ordained that SWG must go on, even though it is clearly dead as far as a quality game goes.

A rollback is coming, perhaps. We can't be sure, and the mods totally deny it, but IMO, that makes it all the more likely. Hang in there, it could come at any moment... All we've worked for may soon come to fruition...

As already said, SWG will live on as long as it is the only Star Wars mmo.
