I also think though that while SoE has made thier share of massive blunders, an equal portion of responsibility falls on the players shoulders as well. it's easy to hide behind the consumer/product theory, but really, in a weird way...they've given the populace what they wanted. People couldn't enjoy a GCW era game without all the usual bells and whistles of a traditional Star Wars game. So here we are, with the Jedi and Bounty Hunters in the mess they're in. Witha blend of players fromdie-hard star wars addicts, power gamers, casual gamers, role players, and l33t haxxor punks. As people cried for more, they slowly and surely gave it to us. And now here we are.

How would you repair the damage done, and still remain profitable? That's the question SoE is probably asking themselves right now....then again....maybe not

I just have to ask with all these nerfs and everything it almost seems like they are trying to destroy the game. This is not a rant or flame its what I honestly believe. I cannot really see any other motive behind the changes they are done.

NO, simply for the genre it is. There will always be people who play this becuase it is star wars no matter how much SOE screws it over.

this same question was asked during the release of the CU, so I'd have to say no...it'll go for a while, no matter what state it's in. will it have the same core following or keep it's original 'star wars' feel and lore? most likely not. everything changes

No, I do not believe that swg is coming to an end.

Star Wars Galaxies, nerfs or not, is a lot better than other games in my opinion (comparing against other mmorpg's). I am a huge Star Wars Fan, like many of you, and I think that helps to dilute the Nerf's as is suggested, however I still feel the game has much to offer even with the nerfs and ultimately it's the community that really defines the experience for me. I play on Tempest with what I can honestly say some of the coolest people I've meet. We all come together with the same goals, same likes and dislikes making a fun time. Being in the right guild really can give SWG a new lease of life I think.

i hope it isnt the end of the game, but im downloading the latest patch for wow as i type, im sticking around hoping that someone will stop the madness and return the game to its former glory when i started playing in pub 7. Its ben a slow steady down hill run ever since. I really hope something is done

But the truce is about servers and population going down fast...

No. I've seen this question asked more times than you can possibly imagine. It never will reach its end. But it may be reaching its end for me, a Pre-Order CE, day two vet (because the subscription servers had lots of issues day one), and someone who has been around the community for every announcement, from what professions were going to be in the game, to what the races were going to be.

I have more SW: G experience than most of the current Dev team put together and care a hell of a lot more about it than any of them as well. And that makes me sad. This game could have been THE great game of its generation. But I'm afraid all of the people who had the vision to create that game have gone.
