I actually think hearing it may be less offensive than seeing it written out.

I will never go back to console gaming for FPS's. There isn't the control associated with gaming in those genre's. Period...

You guys are all out of your minds if you think someone with a gamepad can out shoot someone with a mouse/keyboard in an FPS.
If you have ever been to any serious level competition fps tournaments, CPL, Quakecon, WCG just to name a few, you would realize this. In addition to that, look at Counter-Strike for the pc and Counter-Strike for the xbox....Console version is a joke and thats a simple game. I cannot see the online version we play being merged with a console version. This is for two reasons, one being the gamepad is cumbersome....period. Secondly, TVs suck. I dont care if you think you are sweet with your massive plasma screen or your lcd tv. It would be a pain in the rear to play this game to its fullest on a console.

I seriously doubt many here have played competitively. I've never been to those big tournies, but I have played in TWL and CAL and know exactly what you're talking about.

Exactly. Granted, there are some people who are really, really pretty good with using an xbox controller and playing a FPS title but in all honesty you'll never get the accuracy and control you can get from a keyboard/mouse combo IMHO. I've proven the point to many a console gamer at my place, fire up a second computer and plug in a controller for them, let them get the hang of the game and then take them apart systematically witha mouse/KB. Albeit this new style of play is more Diablo-esque then FPS from all reports, but we won't honestly know until it goes to TC.
And for all you people saying console players would never be on the same servers as the computer players you might want to read up on the Final Fantasy MMORPG. I know for a fact there are PS2 players ont he same servers as PC players.
