Well, if we're gonna be at everyone elses level, drop the xp requirement to standard and let's just makeinitiate a starting profession..??

Not a flame at anyone here, just the poor implementation by the game designers I guess....

I'd be all for that but the intentions behind that disgusting grind is to prevent more players from going after it. taking the grind out and just handing padawan to starting players would just ensure the existance of a gaming population infested with jedi. the only reward you should get out of getting to full temp jedi is the pride of being one. Besides the grind is a joke now anyway with the crazy piket exp out there.

The majority of the non-jedi playerbase don't want to see jedi in this time period, and rightly so. This isn't set in the clone wars era or earlier. This isn't set in the time period when Luke was running his academy. There simply shouldn't be many, if any, jedi around between ANH and ESB. There's no way that we are going anywhere. We have to decide if we can bite the bullet and not be part of the GCW(or take part w/ risk of penalty as suggested), or do we want to be beefed up and fight a jedi war, letting the real war happen as it should, not be dictated by lightsabers.

Your right about jedi being out of place in the current time period. I want to see the mayority go away myself. However I dont believe stripping the jedi from the GCW and giving them their own jedi war to fight will solve the problum. the only difference would be seeing jedi fighting in front of the star ports with absolutely no way for the rest of the player base to stop them. Bhes will get stomped by their power. And overts cant touch them cause they are in a higher PvP tier. What ever the answer to this delimma is, its going to be extremely specific and complex. Segragating players just wont cut it.

I comepletely agree with this post 100%, i like my pvp.. but it gets a bit boring when 90% of the rest of the pvpers are gonna be jedi, it irritates me when you get ganked by 20 odd jedi then turn around and say like "pwned" I can guarantee when i go to pvp i'll be the only non jedi in the group, its gotten to the stage where non jedi have had enough.. and until SoE wakes up and smells the bacon this problem is gonna be with us forever

Pie.. mmmm

If you don't separate jedi from non-jedi then jedi will always be weaker than we should ever be. There's no way around that.

WAKE UP!! so STUPID!! NO Einstien jedi are not supposed to be in the GCW and we DO need our own faction. Light vs dark needs to happen. these other people thinking we need to be in the gcw are just stupid. what annoys me is the people who complain that were forced to be into pvp. Im thinking, you dumb idiot. you KNEW BEFORE u became a jedi youll be hunted. and the sheer stupidity of you complaining leaves me totally speechless.

Its like someone saying, if u take this job, youll be doing paperwork. you say okay. take the job. a week later. Why am i forced to do paperwork?

YOU TOOK THE JOB AND KNEW IT FOOL!!

man...ignorant.

But yes we need our own dark vs light. thats waaaay over due.

It's a shame that this thread made it this far before somebody had to resort to name calling of another poster. That always solves everything...

This thread isn't about being at a non-jedi level. What is being proposed is to remove us from the GCW, increase our potency(pvp and pve), leave the xp requirements the same, and allow us our own war via the FRS. Aside from any jedi who simply want to pwn n00bs in pvp who really stand no chance against a jedi, this is a win/win for us and SOE.

What would be the point of having the jedi if you couldn't impact the mainstream player base? its like seperating the bullies from the nerds and putting them into their own little sand box. its kinda counter productive to the concepts behind the MMO.

There are many more ways to impact the player base than bullying them around in the sand box. But when you do put them in the same box, you can't give the "bullies" crowbars and the "nerds" wiffle-bats and expect a balance game play.

But I will use your "bullies vs. nerds" type logic to counter you. Why do you think in high school, the Varsity team is seperated from the JR. Varsity? because if they were all mixed, the JR's and SR's would hog the games from the Sophomores and Freshmen, making very unbalanced teams, causing arguments within the ranks, and thus a losing football team. See what I am saying?

The point being jedi should not be impacting the mainstream players. Jedi should be the meta game. Development of your second character slot can allow you to affect mainstream play via the GCW.

Oops, guess I missed that.

Anyhoo, I never used to support pulling us from the GCW, but the devs are making it clear that we can't co-exist with non-jedi as things are now. This is the only real answer. I play SWG because I've loved Star Wars since I was a kid and saw ANH. The GCW is Star Wars for me. Everything else is secondary. As someone else said, all jedi have second slots to develop a non-jedi combatant if we choose.
