Only problem I see with your idea is the word "free" otherwise it could be possible.

...and you haven't been paying ANY attention since...
It's the DESCRIPTION that was erroneous...cause it was from KOTOR2.
The product is real, has a strategy guide from Prima, and we DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS.

You are right, but I have heard all the rumors, I won't repeat them here...they all stink.
From where most of us, the unknowing majority stand, it could be as simple as the base game with bonuses.
If it's more, well, we will find out before too long. My money is on Tuesday for some official information.

Well,
According to J&R, the "Starter Kit" will only have An Empire Divided and JtL content, so if you want Wookie World and Mustafar, you'll have to buy the digital DL. Now, considering all of the data, evidence and sources, this "Starter Kit" seems bonafide and the only thing "erroniously listed" was SOE's response to it. If anything, SOE didn't want you people to know about the Starter Kit this close to the Mustafar "Pay to Play" expansion. I mean, if you can go out and buy essentially, the core game and one expansion for $17-$19, it does rather make the $30 expansion a little harder to swallow.
All in all, this further exemplifies SOEs continued poor treatment of it's customer base by using dis-information, lack of communication and as a whole, not treating it's customers as "people",and with the respect that we are due. The only other possible explanation is that somehow, LucasArts decided to package AED and JtL as a starter kit and didn't inform SOE...yeah like that happened.
All I would like is somehow, some way, someone from SOE would be honest and straight-forward with me. If it's in confidence, I can handle that. I worked for two other online services and know full well about NDA. I'm a grown man of 38 yrs. Rest assured SOE, I won't be slicing my wrists over anything that you might tell me. Just give me the truth for once.

You're right Darka, J & R has what seems to be more info than others...including this tidbit...
Begin your adventure by helping HAN Solo and Chewbacca fend off Jabba The Hutt on the Millennium Falcon -- then choose your path and find a place in the Galaxy. Become a rebel and fight the Empire, or join up with the Dark Side - while seeking your fortune as a Bounty Hunter, Smuggler or even a Jedi.
