BHs won't be hunting players anymore. They will be hunting squirells.

The storyline in this game is supposed to be between movies 4 and 5. Jedi are supposed to be extremely rare at this point in the storyline. Perhaps just a handfull of them left in the galaxy.

I don't recall getting a script when I play. I play the game and make my own Star Wars Universe. If this game were scripted, as you suggest, then it would be MP KOTOR.

Havent you at all wondered why you can do missions for the Emperor, Jabba, Vader etc etc? That is because this game is set in that part of the SW storyline.I'm a pretty hardcore SW fan, and i cant say i like the way they have been messing with the timelines here.. This game should have been set at a 1000 years earlier than it is, when jedi flourished. Then i would have no problem with it. Yes, you do make your own Star Wars universe when you play, but you do it in a particular time of the SW universe George Lucas made..

SOE says that they want to make the game more "Star Warsy", but in the movies the jedi are a higher, rare class of soldier who are respected and arent commonly found. With the looks of the new system there will be Jedi like there are Bounty Hunters now....

What should we do to make Jedi Rare?

ANSWER---

TURN JEDI OFF, stop it were it is let the current fs people finish it and close it off, have the elders of the galaxy (under some sort of council) pick a handful of people each month to unlock fs and begin the journey into Jedi. This idea will bring a more star warsy theme into the game and keep some sort of prestige in jedi. This will also prevent unknown "dirty" players from becoming a jedi and ruining its reputation, and will allow the hard working dedicated players into the proffesion...

Translation = "make Jedi rare except on my account".

Why do you care? If every player in the entire game decided to become a Jedi (and they just might LOL) how does it affect you? Making Jedi equal to other professions (many post-CU Jedi willwelcome the step up to a regular profession's strength!) means that many of the players who choose Jedi to be "uber" or because it's some sort of "endgame" won't be Jedi. After the initial "let's-all-respec-to-Jedi" craze (like BH immediately post-CU) things will settle out. Sure there will be more Jedi than most other profs I think, but that's because Jedi *IS* Star Wars, and the attraction of the game for many is to be able to play as one.

Your scheme practically drips with potential forgriefing, favour-currying, pandering, ego-stroking, even extortion. Who will decide who is not "dirty"? You? Me?The fightclubbers? Seems to me many of the "dirty" players are already Jedi. Take a read of the other forums over the past months, Jedi have no more reputation to ruin.

Stop thinking there will beany moresort of "prestige" in being a Jedi in this game. Those days have followed the Old Republic, to be raucouslyhearkened and mournedby old men in taverns, and long-ago stories to amuse and excite children sitting at their father's knee on a midsummer's eve.

The SWG Forums. You will never find a more wretched hive of
catassery and buttmonkeyism. We must be cautious.

I totally agree with Jlane. There are WAY to many jedi now-a-days. And why do all the newbs want to play such a nerfed out profession. If they want to play a powerful jedi, they can pick up KOTOR 1 or 2. Heck, even jedi outcast or battlefront 2. All those jedi are 10X better than us.... which makes me sad
