Do i agree with the new changes, YES!! Im happy SOE is making an attempt to fix SWG. Any pre cu player knows how poor this game is doing, but making Jedi a starting proffesions is senseless. SOE says that they want to make the game more "Star Warsy", but in the movies the jedi are a higher, rare class of soldier who are respected and arent commonly found. With the looks of the new system there will be Jedi like there are Bounty Hunters now....
What should we do to make Jedi Rare?
ANSWER---
TURN JEDI OFF, stop it were it is let the current fs people finish it and close it off, have the elders of the galaxy (under some sort of council) pick a handful of people each month to unlock fs and begin the journey into Jedi. This idea will bring a more star warsy theme into the game and keep some sort of prestige in jedi. This will also prevent unknown "dirty" players from becoming a jedi and ruining its reputation, and will allow the hard working dedicated players into the proffesion...

Why must Jedi be rare? According to whom? This is OUR story, not some script to be followed. So if there are many Jedi, rejoice in the fact and stop complaining.

Most noobs want to hold a flashystick someday though, so it wouldn't do much for reeling in new customers.

only major flaw in your idea....marketing....star wars is jedi and being able to play one is what sells 80-90% of this game

these are all good points, but you all forget PRE CU...when this game had more customers than ever and NO Jedi....i remember when i started to play jedi was thought to be impossible and this games numbers were still higher then theyare now....

Yeah but people were complaining and threatening to quit then if we didn't get a revamp.

but 99% of people were here cause of the chance to play jedi even when there were none in game

No way SOE would do this...can't you see?
Jedi is the last ditch money grab....they throw everything out the window and let everyone have one....just to get the cash...enuff said...
I hate it because they made me grind it...when some 10 year old can buy it and prolly level it in a week...
But that being said..I can't wait for my CU2 Loyalty reward....unlike 1 which was a plaque...this one is a Holo of a hand reaching into a wallet and on the base it reads...."HaHa Vets just got pwned"

The storyline in this game is supposed to be between movies 4 and 5. Jedi are supposed to be extremely rare at this point in the storyline. Perhaps just a handfull of them left in the galaxy.
