I totally agree with you, its seems unfair that after unlocking jedi we are almost "Forced" to choose certain templates just to survive rather than have fun.

From this thread, it seems to last about 50 seconds to 2 minutes, about 10-20 filling. Not sure if someone's selling them already on my server but you can still mess around if they use itwith either Improved Knee-cap Shot [Rifles 0040], or Improved Crippling Shot [Carbineer 0400], or even now that they reduced the cooldown timer on Stopping Shot, Pistoleer 0003.

For the record, these are the only 3 BhI have seen in the last 2 months lol so maybe the Patch made more Bh think about hunting jedi again.




No your BH just sucked then. Any decent BH would have no problem with you. Consider yourself lucky because your saber isn't good enough to worry any bh with any skill at all. This publish brought out more bh that were scared of fighting Jedi now there are less of them scared to take on Jedi that is for sure.

for me, this snare s**t is BS. I am a Master Enhancer. I have Force Run 3, which is nearly as fast as a bike. I am made specifically to be able to get away in tough/BAD situations with my FR3. However, with the recent publish, anyone who puts any kind of snare on me completely F***s over my FORCE RUN 3 like no tomorrow. Please tell me, how force run 3 with is maybe +90% to movement speed maybe? does not have the slightest bit effect on something that slows my movement speed down 10-20% if that? I mean **edit**, is that not common sense or what?


and the example of WHY i have force run 3 ( besides of its funness )


Ex: I was in a group with about 3 other ppl today pvp'ing. We see 2 people overt, start attacking them. I get snared while attacking okay? Im like no big-deal we will have these guys dead, BUT when this happens 8-10 guys load in/are loaded in already. Normally i would say f'this and force run 3 out of there because i can and it is one of my abilities that i have with my template. However, with being snared/ electrolite drained, i cannot do sh*t with my FR3, when normally i would be safe and out in the clear andnot have to worry about being screwed over.


With that being said, THAT IS PARTLY WHY I GOT MASTER ENHANCER IN THE FIRST PLACE, so i would not have to deal with those kinds of situations like someone without force run would have to do. BUT with being snared, one of my MASTER abilities ( costs me 89 skill points ) is USELESS. So basically im at the same level of someone who did not put those points into that tree and instead put them into defense, or something that makes them better equipped to handle more than 2-3 ppl or even 1 person ( if they have a god light-saber ) . Granted i can stasis as many people as i can, but when they just duel eachother and break it, that is useless as well, thus making me utterly defenseless except for force armor/force aura which does not work very well with 8 people hitting you.



For god sakes, another GOOD/ VERY FUN template ruined by stupidity by SOE.



and if you are going to flame me, go ahead, i dont care, but give me a valid reason why it should stay EXACTLY the way it is.


Edit: changed the colors since it hurt my eyes,and i typed a lot o_O. And i also agree with some of the other posts saying people got certain templates cause they found them to be FUN and thats why they chose them, not because they are good or gimped, but because they are fun, and people without force run 1 are screwed, even if they have no force run, force run 2, or force run 3.

Ok did some more testing tonight so far best thing ive seen to do it get some Rancor Aid drink up and play as normal. Not only did this break snare the bh/cm i tested with was unable to land it again while the drink was active. Cant say how long the drink last because i just had some crafted up fast not really prefected for regular use. But it was a nice way to suprise and turn the tables on the bh in the duel. He used a lot of mind trying to land it again as well another bonus.



So let them snare ya and fight when you think the time is right drink up and unload on him

The thing is though a pvp should not be lasting 35 minutes. I mean thats just kinda of rediculous. Look at all that can happen in real life in 35 minutes. A friend/relative could call, the dog needs out, the baby could cry, you have to use the bathroom, a lightning storm could come about,the pizza u order could arrive,ect, ect. The whole point of the CU was to balance the game and make combat more fast paced. While I will not disagree with the dev's decision on the CU i just feel thatat this point being about 5-6 months after it that it would eb alittle more balanced by now.

They sound like noob BHs you fought to me. I know the BHs on my server would stay out of range and keep you snared/rooted the whole fight.

My alt is the new FOTM BH template and I went to hunt some jedi just for grins and talk about easy killing. But I never DBed, well I did once and that is because when I was leaving the jedi came back for more.

I don't understand why devs put in "anger" debuff after a snare or root then take it out in publish 24?

"Anger" was never in effect after a root or a snare. "Anger" only kicks in after mezzes (Underhand Shot / Stasis / Paralyze / Concussion Shot ...). Some mezzes have a +Rooted+ as side effect, but the primary purpose is to stop any attack or healing moves (except instant stims). "Anger" only is applied after states that break on damage as a good rule of thumb (since taking damage while in that state is considered too overpowering, so is instantly re-applying that state).
