Can you cloak while in battle? If so how far away do you need to be and how long does it last?

Just to be sure you understand...you can cloak while in combat, but you can't keep fighting once you've cloaked, or else your cloak will break.

One good rule of thumb is, once you cloak to uncheck you auto attack jsut incase they hit you with an area attack and you dont auto back. Saved me many times, bh or jedi do an area attack to pop my cloak, I flop on the ground while they spam area, I type stand over and over till I stand, also healing lol and then slowly saunter off with cloak still on

The more I think about, the more there needs to be a counter to this Inviso power. Wondering if Master Scout or Novice Ranger should have to ability to see jedi in a 64m radius. And possible break cloak at the master ranger level.

Why? Its just an escape method. You can't do any damage to anyone while using it. Having ways to break cloak would be less a "counter" and more just a devaluing of it.

Ture, but I'm thinking about some other games I have played. Inviso always as a counter.

Worrying that a 5 man squad of cloaked Ninja Jedi might be very effective when they can all uncloak at the same time and wreak havoc behind the battle lines.

hehe, its great in theed if no one knows your cloaked. the stupid thing is you can target them though. We were pvping the other day and 3 jedis were cloaked, we knew there names so we all had them targeted. I could definatly see this being a huge factor in hoth, frs bh's, and quests like dwb. You would own in dwb, just cloak, run down to taht main room with 4 jedi friends, uncloak when you see the dude spawn, get the key kill a few then cloak out. It definatly does not seem like 20m if it is, are you sure its not like 20 feet. Anyways this is a veryuseful and hopefully it doesnt get any type of nerf or counter.

Thing is, right now, some NPCs can just see right through the cloak, and start attacking you anyhow.

Really, i knew that they would see you, agro you, and follow you but i always thought they couldnt attack you, must be something wrong with some coding

Read a few threads lately, were people have said either remove damage reduction from FR2/3 or were some one suggested add damage reduction to AI( and all defenders dsaid no remove damage reduction from fr 2/3)

So my suggestion is let powers attack while cloaked sure u cant hit us, while were cloaked but eventually with people around us and continous use of attacks we will run out of force( this is the whole arguement behind why people shouldnt ask for AI nerf as it has counters in FC, which cloak also has)

If Force Cloak matches the force costs for AI then yes however Cloak should still 'break' from improved saber throw - an possibly other attacks from other trees?

maybe attacks while cloaked shoudl suffer an accuracy/damage penalty? especially when FRs comes back a cloaked Dark Jedi Overlord could probally kill players in 1 hit and no one could retaliate

AI has a one of cost associated with it, whilst cloak has a ticking cost associated, depending were fight is the mobs/npc's/players could make the cost twice as high as AI

but how would a player defend against a cloaked attack? (and from a dark jedi overlord perspective as well)

every attack needs a countermeasure or defence
