You picked the wrong MPowers to play that card on sparky.

I was MLS/MPowers pre CU and have 4 x +120dmg, -9fc, -.28/.29 Pearls in my blade. Been killing Dragons religously since I mastered Commando in Aug of '03.

So tell me again how I took the "quick and easy" route?

powers is worthless in JvJ. cloak is all we had. and to snare it like AI thats a master level for defander is realy just silly. move cloak to master and add AB to that tree that dose not stake with sabers ABwould help powers user a lot and remove 98% of the cloakers ppl dislike so much

I dont actually think that BukuJohnson realises that xp requirements for jedi skill boxes are exactly the same, tier to tier.. so mathmatically speaking you would have to kill the exact same amount of 'critters' to complete/fill a box for the equilivant tier/level.

I do realize it takes the same amount of XP, that was why in my first response to him I stated that it took the same amount of xp for me to master Powers as it did for me to master LS.

Then he came back with how Powers was the quick and easy way because it does not require pearls.

Response to that was he picked the wrong MPowers to play that card on.

On a side note the reality is if you do not have some sabers in your Powers template it is a lot harder to kill a BH with just MPowers, than it is for a MLS. The healing non Jedi have is just too much for the low damage out put of a pure Powers template even with Choke.

I give up... A disipline gets something useful it gets nerfed and other members of their profession rejoice. Jedi is 1.5 less than a normal profession unless you are master saber master defender and now its getting nerfed more.

I was holding out hope that powers would be fun and for the most part it has been until the insane action costs, the healing changes and now cloak will be basically useless...

I am a mpowers user as well who decided to stick with powers after the cu in hope that a fix ever happened. If cloak is nerfed then i think i am through with it all. If we can't heal or use any other force powers and they give us a snare while using cloak then they nerfed cloak as hard as they could. I am beginning to think that the devs hate powers users seeing as how they have never fixed anything in powers, only nerfed. By nerfing cloak, they will basically wipe out the 1% of jedi who were master powers and it will be the new most underplayed tree since people still dabble in healer healing line. I just want them to give uspowers users a respec. I believe AI was nerfed soon after the cu went live and they could still respec out of it so at least defenders knew how it was gonna work.If they told us powers users that cloak was gonna end up like this then I would have taken an fotmMLS template seeing as how I have a 711 damage saber and not afraid to use it. So to all those who think we go powers to take the easy way out your wrong. I grinded just as much as you did to get my template done and now it is being crippled. Currently cloak and choke are the only powers i use against a bh. If they do this to cloak then mpowers is no longer a feasible template to me and i might as well go master enhancer (course im imperial and totally against this).

Well as a mls and powers 4444 enhancer 0002 and healing 3000 so i can heal and channel, and trust me with no defenses cloak was it. I havent mastered powers because of everytime I leave kash , Within 10 to 15 mins I'm being stalked by a bh. Not fun anymore. I am not a pvper and if you say anything about shouldnt be a jedi then you can kiss off, been playing since june of 04 and have never afk grinded, put up with the cu, had patience with the 10 and 12 year olds whinning and begging, and withstood a constant harrassment of repec bh bullies. I for some time actually enjoyed the game and content. Now the devs are killing the only defense I have. Tell me will the rangers have to be 32 meters away from everything and one when they cloak? I doubt it. I ask for a repec or better yet do away with the weak powers line all together and spread cloak, force lightning, area intimidate (no good against bh because you argo everything in sight and once you get it you loose the one person intimidate) and choke into the other lines. Powers is useless against other jedi anyway. Lets all be mls master defenders that way the bh can scream untill they nerf that again. here's another Idea, lets get repecs as vet rewards since the devs cant leave anything alone. So much for the S.O.E. banning everybody who stole or duped credits from them., because it was not the S.O.E. or star wars way. Now lets kill an elite hunting machine and turn him into a common thief slash terriost, because hey, it works on grand theft auto. I forsee picking up dancers, hooking up in a av 21 and then killing and robbing them next., or maybedrive bys in the buss you arepushing with the learn to be a glowie expansion that is coming in Nov? Which by the way should not cost us one more dime! Shame on S.O.E. for exposing themselves as money grubbing cheats. We all know this should have been released with the c.u. and rage, what a cheap shot! I used to look forward to patches they use to bring forth usefull items , content, excitement, and all around good cheer. Now they breed animosity and regret. This must be the way they get ignorant and lazy people to stay in the game nerf the elite combat, hunting and hard earned crafting professions, so everybody is equal. Go ahead nerf the jedi , nerf cloak, nerf ai, lets get rid of jedi and bh all together and give everybody t shirts and pillows to throw at one another. If I sound PO'd and disgruntled you are correct! i'm tired of you guys ruining everything!

Like I said, I was MLS/MPowers Pre CU. Cloak was not in Powers pre CU, or didn't you know that?

From my experiences and observations it is far easier to play this game as a MLS with a few rows of Defender than any other template. Why did you choose such an easy template to play? Is it the only way you could compete?

There's a simple solution to that, make the people in CC see through the cloak. Then you don't have to nerf it. I can understand them wanting to nerf it due to people skipping content, but to nerf peoples' means of escape that is ridiculous

Um that is the REASON they added snare to AI - to eliminate it as a form of escape.

I can see the Devs..."Lets give them a last ditch ability to get out alive... -Oh and now lets make sure they can't use it to get out a live... MWhaaaaa"....

SOE Developers in mass are still about as bright as a small applicance bulb....

I wonder if SOE actually considers the factors that have broght them to this point...

Basically, a lot of people have cloak in their template anymore (not myself, but I know a lot of people that do).

So they have a ton of cloaked Jedi running around, doing stuff they shouldn't and causing problems...

But have they asked themselves, why Cloak is so popular in the current templates?

Maybe because it is the only Jedi skill that is somewhat unique anymore and still works. Of course Jedi will migrate to it, it is one of the few 'abilities left' that are not something you can't pick up in a regular profession.

But unfortunately, all they seem to be doing is the psychological push of acceptance that Jedi that have spent a year of their lives on a profession are not any better than someone that bought the game last week and is a TKM/Doc or TKM/Swordsman/Medic already.

Thanks SOE for rewarding us for staying with you, paying our fees only to see the game further slip into the 'great balance'. We thought they were going to balance professions with the CU, instead they balanced the game so that someone that has devoted 2 years of their life playing to game isn't any better than the last person that picked it up 2 weeks ago...

Argh...

(BTW I'm a Jedi without Cloak, and still think this is another step in the direction of the stupiest nerfs to date.)

then why are you complaining? you lived without it before, you can do it again....the darkside is still the quick and easy path, and again....those are rarely quick and easy...btw...we're you a fc'er? you should already know a lil something about how unrewarding the quick and easy path is, even when it is, in fact, quick and easy.

I had my template pre cu too....but...additionally....look at the majority of the jedi in the movies.....theyre mdef/mls's.....look at the powers users......only the sith lords used it effectively....and even then, it was no match for an opposing Jedi who are prepared for the engagement....sabers are where its at. is the only way you could compete by cloaking?

in any event cloak was cheesy, and being abused...and as such, as being adjusted to bring it more in line with it's intended usage.
