Pretty much. We post-CU full template jedi are good at PvE, but suck at PvP vs elder Jedi.
Well you should technically. We know the profession a little better. We were in the FRS, pvp was mandatory. You had to learn how to fight, you were perma-overt. There was no going back to the recruiter and going "on-leave" or combatant. PvP is not all about your weapon. There are other variables.
Comsidering that you are allowed to wield a machine gun (pre-CU saber, pre-CU pearls) against my knife (post CU MLS 4th gen, post CU pearls), I guess I have to be TONS better than you if I win, right?

In PvP if you have no idea what your doing you can lose everytime even if you have a 700 max dmg saber. That's my point.
I agree with MCZX..... I went through weeks of everyday killing/looting to get the saberI have today "745".You need to realize thatIT TAKES TIME which isnt a bad thing as everyone views it to be. Jedi is not an over night thing as well as what is involved with it so be patient and grind some krayt. You made it this far now why are you going to drop your account cause your lazy?

So you'd be willing to trade for a sub par weapon then to even it up? No..I didn't think so.
I don't think people should fall for the "chances of a good tune with any pearl" routine.
We're talking way freaking rare for a good 3 way tune (damage, speed, FC).
You could tune 20, or 200...and not get a decent tune.
Or...get luck and find one, even two, when you need four.
So do the math...every post CU Jedi is searching through many dozens and dozens of low end pearls and crystals hoping for decent stats. With this kind ofodds, the krayt spawns and sisters cavewill need tobe camped 24/7. Other players rip us apart for camping these spots. Jedi are once again made out to be the dumbass fanbois when all we want is the same chance at a decent weapon as the BH that hunt us.
the only way to correct this imbalaence is to make every saber identical like 700 fourth gen 600 3rd gen 400 2nd gen and something else for first because they cant seem to figure out how to remove there head from the rectum they might as well even the playing feild clean slat im sorry for those of you with killer sabers and i think this idea of mine is one ofthe most retarded things ive ever heard of but the current system is worse.

You all have no idea how many premiums I tossed to the side pre-cu just to get some decent tunes. Everyone acts like a premium pearl is a guaranteed "perfect" tune. They weren't before, they aren't now. SO if you have to tune 4x as many "goods" to get decent tunes what's the issue? The drop rate is pretty good andKrayt's are 10x easier to kill post-cu than pre-cu. So get off your butt and hunt some Krayts. Jedi is not easy. We have to work for what we get.
Are all post-CU jedis idiots? Or just the ones that post flames about Pre-CU sabers/jedi?
Post-CU jedi like this act like the Pre-CU 'good tune' pearls and good sabers just appeared when Pre-CU jedi unlocked or something. Makes me sick, seriously. THEY WORKED FOR THEIR SABERS AND PEARLS YOU SELFISH TWITS. They hunted the Pre-CU HARDER Krayts to get those pearls. The Post-CU Krayts are a joke. Make a carbineer/pistoleer alt andkill the freaking things all day long. Experienced master carbineers brag about soloing them all the time, even ancients. You get an alt when you unlock, there you go. Free pearl gathering option.
News flash, like others have said, not all 'good tunes' are premiums. Not all the 'lesser' pearls tune baddly. "But...but, premiums have better chances to get tuned!" Your point? You can loot or buy the 'lesser' quality pearls easily enough. Heck, I've seen 5 sold for 10 mill in comparison to a premium sold for 35 mill. Guess what, bet ya those 5 have a better chance of tuning one or more good than a 35 mill one chance deal.
On a closer note to perhaps get a thought through your heads, do you know how much better the chance of getting a good tune on premiums is compared to the 'lesser' quality pearls is? Seriously? Can you honestly tell me a premium pearl has a 50% better chance? How about even 10% better? Or even 1% better? You don't know, do you? Cause you cant know. If you are not even sure how much better, if at all, the premiums' chance of tuning good is compared to the others, what in the name of all things glowie are you whining about? You want whats in the box because the guy/girl before you had it but you don't even know whats in the box to begin with.
I'm not trying to flame, really. I know sabers define a jedi in pvp more than anything else they really have. But if post-CU pearls are tuning good and are looted from a post-CU weaker version of krayts, can we really complain? Pre-CU jedi worked for their sabers, granted in a different combat world. Is it really fair that the Post-CU jedi want theirs handed to them just because someone else has one already? Use your heads, my friends, not your greed and jealiousy.
Raz-
I went jedi a week after the CU so I guess you "could" call me a Post CU jedi, but I spent countless hours hunting kryats & Singing Mountan clan to get around 60 pearls/crystals before I went jedi. Really every jedi in the game now who isn't a noob should have had that opportunity to go out & hunt for crystals & pearls pre CU. If you had the opportunity & didn't take it to load up on pearls pre-cu then well tough luck.
For the record there are a few things I'd like to add. I have tuned a FAIR pearl to 96 dmg -6 FC -.28 speed& I've tuned a flawless to 69 dmg -9 fc -.13 speed. So as for tuning being really random reguardless oflevel is true.
Another point I'd like to make is this... before I had an ADK I used 2 LS one for PVP which was only 557 dps & one for grinding at 370 DPS. Many times I had a BH come for me & yes many of then where CM/BH & I still owned them. There where also times when I went into Jedi VS Jedi duels against guys with 700+dps sabers & I beat several of them & just laughed to myself because I couldn't believe that I beat guys with double the DPS I had.
It really is more than the weapon, its your sense of timing & tactics that will win teh fight for ya.

lol....it's not a guaranteed "perfect" tune, but it'sd*mn close.....lol.My brothers and I havetuned 100ish PRE-CU pearls/crystals. My premium pearl tuned 113/-7FC, my premium crystal tuned 97/-9FC. My third best tune was my Twin Force Cluster (poor) at 92/-2. Just about everything else tuned 60 and below.
So from 40 tunes I did I have a saber with 113, 97, 92, and a WHOPPING 79......lol. These were all PRE-CU too. I really lucked out, having stocked up. I feel sorry for the people running around with 4 crystals in the 60s ![]()
