Thread: Please stop whining about the old days!
I really cant understand why anybody want pre-cu back. Sorry. And yes, I played back then.
Jehd bud, umm shut up. You have no clue about being a jedi, nor what it takes to be a jedi. Jedi werre not weakened because of us, it wasmade more weakbecause its so easy to obtain now. Getting to initiate is simple, can be done extremely fast if you know what your doing. Wait till you reach Jedi to speak of Jedi winning 9 out of 10 BH fights. There are some very good ones on Tarquinas, so that will exploit just to win, and yes there are those that just plain stink.
This would have been a far better topic for Guildchat, so you could have gotten better answers than the flames you will receive here. Most of us "old-timers" don't play our jedi because frankly, its boring. Theres only so many things you can do, so many times before you need a new challenge, so we play regular toons ( me a master Ranger/Rifleman ) to keep things interesting. Also frankly after dealing with idiot BH's for over a year ( and yes this does not include the good ones ) you get a little tired of it and its refreshing to know you can go somewhere and not get ganked (although this isn't nearly the issue it was, 20 man GTEFF squads anyone? ).
If you have a further need to make idiotic statements do so IG in guildchat, would much rather have a discussion there then to have to express them here.
From what I've heard, yes, you had it easy. I've heard about the frs system, glad that isn't around now. I'm mainly talking about the force sensitive XP more than anything. I don't know everything about pre-CU and I don't pretend to, but I do know it didn't take ya'll nearly as long as it will take anyone just starting the game now.
What i'm really trying to say is all of you vet players are trying to kill the jedi profession. There was a reason they nerfed jedi XP. From what I gather it is because of all the XP xploiting that was done with nades. I never did this, why am I being punished for the acts of a few people that wish to cheat the system? Thats exactly why the conversion rates have changed. And I can bet it was Imperial players mostly. Rebels have honor enough not to cheat like that. If you did exploit nests with nades and you are a rebel, you don't deserve to be a rebel. Cheaters never prosper and they kill the game. Look what happened to Diablo 2: LOD. It's old I know, but cheaters forced the devs of that game to drastically change the way experience was acquired. Same thing applies here. The devs had to come up with a way to counter act all the players exploiting xp. People were filling up whole trees in a day from what I been told. So now since the cheaters got their initiate the quick and easy way, us poor newbs that haven't been playing since launch have to suffer.
Once again, I emphasize the fact that I do not know much about what it was like before the CU, but pre-CU doesn't apply to me now.
Feel free to tell me otherwise why you think jedi is so nerfed right now, i'd like to know. Those of you who disagree with my /ponder, well you are probably one of the ones exploiting xp in the first place...

Was that supposed to be some kind of excuse why I posted what I did? That just shows you how high and mighty you think you are, so what if I only posted 1 or 2 times. My register date has nothing to do with the knowledge I've obtained about the game.
And to the question why is jedi nerfed now? Because alll the cry-baby carebears that didn't want to put in the time to unlock jedi the path was laid out for them. Hence flooding the game with jedi. Sure you would unlock if you did all the professions, but most were not dedicated enough to do it. So it was a self limiting system. Lol, thats funny stuff man.

This is eventually why Jedi were ultimately nerfed. They made the task of becoming oneless horrific to obtain, although admittedly grinding jedi now is much easier so that has a play in it also
