Actually no... I'll even explain... I left SWG cause Fantasy > Sci-Fi IMO.

EQ2 - I love fantasy, always have, always will. BUT this game was pure grind, the quests were dumb and endless, and my guild fell apart so there wasn't even a person to chat with. All but 2 people I know that played EQ2 still due. Great game, awfully boring to play.

Matrix - All round sucks. My acount didn't even make it through the pre paid time period.

WoW - Cool game, but way too "cartoony". Felt like I was playing NES. Much better than EQ2 though. The PvP server had its ups, but overall, the game is made for little kids.

CoH - WOW, great game, as long as you like 100% grinding. There is nothing to do in the game but fight. No crafting at all. And once you take your 3rd toon to lvl50, You're tired of the game altogether.

Truth is SWG has the best crafting in MMORPG's, a smaller player base (so less lag), awesome graphics (really awesome), your typical grind (for those that like it), the ability to restart your toon without having to delete/reroll, a built in flight sim, etc etc etc.... the fact is was "Star Wars" was 2ndary. That's why I'm not leaving to play AD&D online, cause name branding means nothing to me.

Oh, I prefer the CU, that was the deciding factor in my return. I understand your complaints, but they are over exageratted (sp?).

what kind of answer is that? I'll tell you....it's about the stupidest, most anti-social, self-defeating and unintelligent answer possible.

sorry the kids picked on you doa, but you probably deserved at least some of it....think about that.

why don't you tell him what you really think lol.

I don't know why you wouldn't also be sick of over-exaggurated complaints like the first post.

I've been here since day 1 and I'll say that my experience get's better all the time. Day 1 the gameWAS unplayable. Why you ask? Because we simply overloaded the login server. For the first days the servers were up and down and we waited for them to reboot so we could soak up the experience. We loved it! Such a rich and wondrous galaxy to explore on foot, which took forever to get from point A to point B. Although this never happened to me, there were houses disappearing all over the place and you could walk through an area and see nothing but house signs hanging in the air. People were getting stuck in walls and couldn't move. Yet we still loved it and played.

Then came mounts and the time to run to the harvies was cut down to almost nothing. A short time later we ended up with speeders which made our transit time even less. Does anyone remember waiting 10 minutes for a shuttle?

Today we have more worlds to explore, space to explore, more content that isn't just camped by the ub3r l337's. How can you say the game is not playable? I think it's only getting better.

i guess"barely playable" has alot to do with what profession you are. jedi, half skills dont work, or have been made useless.

mbh/mcm running like a champ, no self imposed snares, no worthless skills

my melee stacker, again no worthless skills, has heals coming and going, can go all day.

jedi, will now thats a whole diiferent story, heck, even basic skills such as speed are broke, 6 second 1 heal. self imposed snare as a master box reward, i reall dont feel like listing every nerf we have gotten, from 85 saber block to 25 at master box, from 4 heals to just one, from 3 runs to just one, "toggled" lol,

whats master healer again for?

master defender box is for a self imposed snare skill?

half of healer has no use anyway.

half of enhance doest work

so i guess i should put on my wool, and act like the game is only a couple months old? then i havent been playing since noc 2003.

anyway, i ll put my wool on and act like nothing s broke, everything is perfect, oh and my favorite, the game"is only a couple months old" baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa baaa

I just want to know where my $14.99 goes. Sure isn't for fixes and regularly added content. Can you say pocket padding for SOE executives?

until the game lets me jump and makes it so the targets have to be in front of you to attack them then it's a total joke and needs no skill.. You just kinda spam shots... /yawn... terrian still doesn't mean anything, so what's the point. they don't even give you good ways to counter people, they made the people counter themselfs with self imposing snares and that kind of crap. so much for any kind of rock paper sissors(sp) system.

And please tell me to leave like you did the others, I've been gone and never been happier I only come back from time to time in hopes I will see some improvements.

So, all the fixes that have been put into the game for other players don't count with you?

Unless you've managed a company like SOE, you have no more knowledge of the cost structures of running an MMORPG than I do (which is to say: nil). Your comment smacks of the intellectual equivalent of something I scrape off the bottom of my shoe on a hot day.

but there is hope for this game yet i think. Its star wars after all and im sure that G. Lucas wont let it die on us. Hang in there it may be boring now but im sure good things are coming. Heres hoping any way...lol

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

I'm hopeful about SWG's future, too, otherwise I would've probably stopped playing weeks ago.

BTW: Could you point me to anything that indicates George Lucas explicitly knows this game even exists? I'm not saying he doesn't, but is he really going to be concerned with SWG when there are who-knows-how-many other things on his plate? (Like the TV show, further revisionist editing of the movies, etc.)

Seriously, I would like to know if GL has seen more about SWG than a memo or two crossing his desk from his minions at LucasFarts.
