I feel like I'm back in the Droid Engineer forum.
(but that's no excuse. EVERY profession is entitled to be bug-free.)

Well interesting, but if you are gonna nerf Jedi to this extreme (as it was in the old days) I am fine with it but this is a list of what JEDI shold get in return:
1) No Mind Cost for healing, and no timer on heals
2) LS Specific Damage type (like before the CU)
3) Krayt Pearls and Crystals of "Premium" and "Flawless" dropping regularly
4) Ability to add PuPs to Sabers <-- we never had this so its not really needed) sorry
5) LS Speed bug fixed
6) KD bugs fixed
7) BH trees cost the same amount of skillpoints as a trees of Jedi
8) Force Regen Bug Fixed
Then Jedi should consider your proposal. You want the old jedi days back fine, then give us back what WE gave up as well!!!!!
But as it stands now, Jedi are probably the most bugged profession in the game, with no clear direction because the devs don't know what to do with us. By nerfing us to "Just another Combat Profession" which, BTW the BH community cried like stuck pigs for months to get, you cannot also remove skill boxes. xp areas and other things. One thing people forget to realize, jedi are players in this community too. Just because Jedi are the only challenging content in the game, does not mean we should just sit in the plains of Dantooine and wait for BH to fly up, and then shoot us. Then give the BH the satisfaction of 250K of creds, another Jedi skin on the wall.
You want the challenge, then by definitiion Jedi need to be hard to kill.
You want less Jedi on your server, then they truely need to be elite, EXTREMELY difficult to kill even with your OVERPOWERED MCM/MBH templates. That can't happen though because the BH community already spent 6 months or more crying cause they could not kill jedi as easily as pikets or huurtons.
Everyone complained when Holo grinding was the way to get jedi, now holo grinding seems a lot more vible and a lot more difficult doesn't it?
Well BH community you cannot have it both ways.
1) Either Jedi are uber and hard to kill, difficult to achieve and probably more powerful then your sliced, buffed, ganked self
(or)
2) There are a lot of jedi running around, easier to kill but everywhere you look. But hey, with the bugs to jedi right now, shouldn't be too hard to kill incomplete templates with 117 SAC sabers with 20 FC that have broken speed mods, and take from mind and force to heal while you spam your improved bacta toss and shoot your sliced Pup'ed trando rifle or Lightening rifle at them for 1200-2000 points of damage.
***** <-- * and one to boot for the correct answer. The big issue is if we had a time machine but somthing tells me that the people that unlocked woud not like that..lol just a hunch.

I remeber back in the day with a DJM would wonder into the Mining outpost and all hell would erupt. Sure, it would eventually die, but half the people in the MO would end up in the cloner as well.
That's how i'd like to see player jedi in this game. RARE, like, it's a pretty special thing to see one. but when you did, prepare to get your arse kicked.
of course for that to happen, 95% of current jedi would have to get deleted, so it ain't gonna happen, but it coulda been so great

How to cure Jedi problem?
Simple take us out the GCW and give us a Powers/Saber TEF (or some sort of insta death NPC gank squad ) if we prance around in public showing off. Visibility would not be needed this way, so no more BHer problems. Lets us only fight amoungst ourselves, the battle between the two factions of Light and Dark is all that should concern Jedi really, we dont need anything else. If these things happened it would not matter if we were nerfed to hell, we would all be the same anyways.

The best cure for the Jedi problem is to worry about your own character.
My jedi is my MAIN character. I refuse to put him into hiding.

I see now why SOE has been unable to resolve the issue. Too many Jedi want too much and are unwilling to surrender anything in return. If this attutude continues, Jedi will loose it's Alpha status, and will be the longest grind to elite in the game. Were not far from there now.
Enjoy

It's not an Issue. It's a game.
A good Jedi suggestion does NOT usually contain:
-Mentioning of Permadeath in attempt to bring it back.
-Limiting the Jedi population of any kind.
-Massive nerfing of another jedi class.
-Lowering a classes skills.
-Punishing a class.
-Lowering experience for a group/an action.
-Punishes everyone else/or many in the community except You.
If anything, ALL classes should be getting stronger and all the teirs should be going UP not down. Nobody needs nerfs, we all need content. If your suggestion has any of the above things mentioned, it's definately not a good suggestion. It's a game, nobody's gameplay should be changed in any way. I don't know how many of these type of suggestions I read that I just get kinda sick. People forget it's not the movies. If it was, we'd be cutting your head off in 1 swipe while you can't shoot us for beans.
It's a split timeline Jedi are alive and well here, get over it.

Basically another BH crying that THEY want to be the most powerful thing int he SWG universe....waaaaa....not someone else
easiest jedi fix... remove BHs
/lol jk
Seriously though
- change the way to unlock jedi again, the current badge list is far to easy
- Fix pearl/crystal drop and tuning
- cap xp loss at Zero (don't allow negitive xp)
- Give us a reason to fight a BH, without frs and no xp is there really a reason to fight?
- Remove vis from npcs that you can kill, seriously we can't do any quests cause they almost all involve npcs which give us vis. I am very carefull on vis, not a show off by any means but i'd like to do a quest without worring about vis.

If we can get over that we can get over the Jedi's supposed power level. After all it's an alternate universe. ![]()
But really the average Jedi extra in the prequels was a good warrior but not super human. We all know that they could and did die by the thousands.
