Hmmm, lets see...this is the macro I'm using right now:

/stand;

/cheer;

/shout Thank you for visiting AFK jedi-r-us! I hope you enjoyed your 5000 meter trip out here! Was the scenery nice? And hey, enjoy that equally fun 5K trip back to the starport! Toodles!

/pause 2;

/cheer;

/pause 600;

/macro House;

There are NO usefull macros. As you said, macros can mean life and death. Running macros will lead you to your death.

The only two usefull macros I'd recommend aren't macros really

/forceheal self;

and the other one

/forceinfusion self;

That'll prevent healing someone else when you need to heal youself. Being a former Doc, I used the bactashot and bacta infusion icons because i'm used to them.

Other than than, if you really have a short attention span, use

/forceaura

/pause 45;

/macro forceaura

but that can kill you if you need to heal, or give the final blow and that macro loops at the wrong time. When people say that macros are bad, they are right.

Very useful information and thank you. This thread can also help those decide if macro's are useful or not. You put it in a manner that isn't trolling or derogatory to the player base. Your info will be taken into consideration. Again, thanks.

I have been using:

forcenpc
/forcefeedback
/pause 1
/forceabsorb
/pause 62
/macro forcenpc

Since NPCs have force attacks now and feedback and absorb work, I'm game. For BH attacks, I don't use my LS. I use:

/nade

I use the following macro to make *sure* that I dont' get hit by the Knockdown Recovery bug. Since the bug is caused by queued combat actions that cannot be executed while knocked down:

KD Recover
/clear;
/knockdownRecovery;

That has always worked for me.

I assigned a macro that just does "/forceheal self;" to my toolbar. The last thing I want happening during a fight is to heal my attacker or a group member by accident due to pass-through healing. (If I want to heal a group member intentially, I use a different toolbar button or type the command manually).

Another macro that's just as helpful to have on your toolbar is "/forceinfuse self;".

And enough with the trolling posts already. The OP asked for help and all you guys can do is attack him personally or post about how you're disgusted with the game. Shame on you.

i did use many macros before but like another person stated they do get in the way.

I had an

:infussion macro -with all the changes realized that it takes too much force when doing pvp or engaging a BH and also gets in way when it activates.

:Valor - creates lag and did not find that it did much ( my own opinion)

:Aura - great defense still use it

:Heal - was nice as a initiate for spinning lairs but uses 2 much force to have heal all the time.

I only use 2 macros now one is aura and the other is forcehealself like Liani said to bypass the targetting issue.

Well so far it seems that I should just use an Aura, a heal macro and the KD recovery one. But keep the posts coming as some may choose to use others. Thanks again for the positive and constructive posts.

I use 2 macros one for infusion and one for aura

InfuseSelf

/forceinfusion self;

/pause 45;

/macro InfuseSelf;

ForceAura;

/forceaura;

/pause 40;

/alarmaddin 0.0 STOP AURA ENDING; (this starts beeping and puts up a msg in the center of the screen so I know not to do any specials that might try to go off when my aura is trying to run)

/pause 4;

/macro ForceAura;
